Chinese dance classes starting Saturday18th July, 5.30pm at the Townsville Chinese Club. The first lesson is free, so come along and try it out. Open to everyone, no membership needed to attend.

Thankyou to all our wonderful volunteers and members for helping with our Dragon Boat Festival Activity Day. For the Zongzi (rice dumplings) team, the paper dragon boat races, the zongzi craft, outdoor activities and the traditional herbal sachets. Without your help, days like these would not happen. We had a fun day to mark the annual commemoration of Qu Yuan, the ancient Chinese Poet.
This year the club was invited to speak at the Townsville Dragon Boat Regatta held on the Sunday. Michael represented our club to share with the regatta teams the story behind the Dragon Boat race and the traditional meaning of the Dragon Boat festival.
