Recently, we supported 60 Year 10 students across Palm Island, Mornington Island and Doomadgee by providing 20 laptops per community as they prepare for senior schooling. Access to a personal device is essential for completing assignments, engaging in online learning, and staying connected during Years 11 and 12.
This project was delivered in partnership with selectability, who supported coordination with local schools and communities.

Our journey began donating one laptop to a school in PNG in 2017. We had no idea then how vast the digital divide in schools was across the Pacific. We have since come to know it and fight it, building computer labs in 495 schools across the region. While massive improvements are being made on connectivity, device poverty still hinders schools’ ability to make the most of the Internet. As part of our new Strategic Plan, LiteHaus International has set a goal to install 30,000 computers into schools across the Pacific by 2030. Achieving this would put digital technology at the fingertips of a quarter of the entire student population across the region. Just some of the initiatives we are delivering right now:

🇵🇬 partnering with Provincial Departments of Education and Sir Brian Bell Foundation, ExxonMobil PNG and Kina Bank and others, installing 2,400 computers into 160 schools across PNG in 2026.
🇸🇧 installing laptops into 40 schools across Solomon Islands with Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trades under the Stronger Education Together initiative.
🇫🇯 deploying 700,devices across schools in Fiji with Niunet, DP World and Its Time Foundation.
🇼🇸 partnering with E3 Samoa Trust to deploy 300 Chromebooks into schools on Savai’i.
🇹🇻 very exciting digital inclusion proejct in Tuvalu which we will reveal soon.

Across 380 partner schools in Papua New Guinea, computer labs are now part of everyday learning. That only works when systems are maintained beyond installation. It is a big footprint to cover but our local team is constantly visiting schools, checking equipment, resolving technical issues, and working with teachers to make sure labs are ready for digital learning.

Last week, 200 devices left our Brisbane warehouse to find their way to the Faculty of Education Students at the Solomon Islands National University, funded by the Australian Government through the Solomon Islands–Australia Partnership (SIAP) – Stronger Education Together (SET). These 200 devices will support and strengthen digital learning access for student teachers as they continue their studies.

Another 225 devices are on their way to Timor-Leste in the coming weeks as part of our continued support of the Ministry of Education's digital education strategy. Throughout 2026, we are on track to deploy over 6,000 computers into schools across the Pacific and South-East Asia. Action over words and real impact every day - the LiteHaus way. 🇹🇱 🤝 🇦🇺

Recently, we completed another digital inclusion project in Solomon Islands, funded by the Australian Government through under the Solomon Islands–Australia Partnership (SIAP) – Stronger Education Together (SET).

We installed 300 laptops across 20 schools in Malaita, Western, and Temotu Provinces, enabling students and teachers to access digital learning. We also delivered in-person digital skills training for 74 teachers, building their capacity to integrate digital literacy and cyber safety into everyday learning.

Over 1 million Australian students do not own their own laptop in 2026. We aim to empower 50,000 digitally-marginalised young Australians by 2030, building upon the 22,000 students we have supported with a personal laptop since 2020. There is a lot of talk about bridging the digital divide in Australia. More action is needed. Every day we speak to families enduring the protracted cost-of-living crisis. Digital inequality is holding students back. Companies, universities, schools - help us play our part by sending your retired IT assets our way. Action over words, real impact every day - the LiteHaus way.

On Monday, we began launching our 2026-2030 Strategic Plan, broadening our focus to other critical barriers to education. Today, we announce our first school infrastructure improvement project at Kunabau Primary School in Chimbu, PNG, funded by Sir Brian Bell Foundation. By September, the school will receive:

✅ A steel-framed double classroom block with additional computer lab (building on the 60 devices already in the school), designed by 5 By Design Co and supported by DP World.
✅ Built in, gender-segregated toilets with lockable doors and running water.
✅ 7.5kW rooftop solar system.
✅ 18,000L of additional water storage.

Since 2022, Kunabau has been one of our highest-achieving digital learning partner schools. We are excited to work with the school and its community to bring this landmark project to life.

Nine years ago, we set up our first computer lab; now we have supported 371 schools across PNG alone. Today, we are taking on our next big, bold challenge. Action over words, real impact every day - the LiteHaus way.

Today we begin unveiling LiteHaus International’s 2026-2030 Strategic Plan. Our next five years will be all about removing barriers to quality education, building on our commitment of action over words. In the weeks ahead, we will announce five big impact goals across digital inclusion, school infrastructure improvement and teacher capacity development. Welcome to our big next step!
