The next weeds working group meeting will be at midday on Wednesday 4th March at Towamba Hall.
Forestry will be providing the BBQ and giving an update on the following:
- Ridges Access (Acquisition of Elmgrove)
- Harvesting and re-establishment Update
- Strategic Fire Updates including treatments in the Far South Coast Risk Management Plan;
- Noxious W**d Maintenance
- Pericoe Cottage Plans

Free for Towamba Valley Landcare members, $10 for other participants
All materials provided then take home a tray of seeds sown to grow on at home.

A reminder that LLS is running a free workshop on Riparian Management at Towamba Hall next Thursday 25th September, 9am-12.30pm (originally scheduled for Friday).

Learn the basics of managing rivers and creeks on your property including catchment hydrology and how to reduce erosion to improve the resilience of our waterways.

South East Local Land Services invites landholders and community members to this free workshop on the basics of river management, focusing on rivers and creeks within the local area.

This workshop aims to strengthen knowledge around identifying issues within these highly adaptive environments teaching simple techniques to help improve resilience within rivers and creeks.

Riparian Management Workshop - Friday 26th September at Towamba Hall
9am-12.30pm, morning tea provided.

This workshop will explore the power and dynamics of our waterways and build your understanding and confidence to observe, appreciate and support them.
Topics will include:
- Catchment hydrology
- Why plants are so important
- Rates of erosion in riparian areas

- Funding opportunities and current projects in the Towamba Valley
