Thank you to everyone who helps to make the Gymkhana great!!
We know that we have amazing sponsors, competitors and volunteers which make it a great weekend, but it’s still quite a buzz to receive an award as Lachlan Shire’s Event of the Year.
Look out for this year’s event, Steve has promised (threatened) to make it even better. 🤓

📢 2026 AUSTRALIA DAY AWARD NOMINEES

Nominees for the Lachlan Shire Council 2026 Local Australia Day Awards have been announced.

The Awards will be presented on Australia Day, Monday 26 January 2026, by Lachlan Shire Council Mayor, Cr John Medcalf OAM and the Australia Day Ambassador, Mr Eren Incekara, at the local awards and citizenship ceremony to be held at the Lake Cargelligo Sail and Power Boat Club, Lake Cargelligo, commencing at 8:00am.

Community members are invited to enjoy the free Australia Day community breakfast at the venue from 7:00am, before the Awards and Citizenship Awards Ceremony begins.

The nominees for 2026 are:

Lachlan Shire Mayor, John Medcalf said, “it is excellent to see these individuals and groups nominated for awards and recognised for their contribution to Lachlan Shire community. I want to congratulate everyone nominated for an award, and I look forward to meeting them all at the ceremony on Australia Day.”
