Happy World Scout Day to all, and a big congratulations to this year's ARA awardees. Special shoutouts to our very own Kira, Lily, Matt, and Max (and we'll claim Bryce too) for their contributions to the Rover section! We couldn't be prouder of you all, once again proving that 💪⚜️

Congratulations to the following recipients of Rover Awards announced today:

W.F. Waters (Rover Service) Award for their outstanding service to Rovering:

Victorian Rover Council Chair’s Award:

State Commissioner’s Award:
• Claire Noonan – Manderson Rover Unit

These awards will be presented at Rover Dinner.

Congratulations to all of our recipients, and to the Rovers and Rover Advisers who received Adult Recognition Awards for their service to Scouting on World Scout Day.

Introducing the South West Rover Villa! Located at Eumeralla Scout Camp, the Villa is a valued part of our region, and one many may be seeing here for the first time.

For over 30 years, there’s been talk of building a deck at the Villa, and this year it’s finally happening!

A huge shoutout to our Region Assets Manager, Max, whose drive and persistence has helped push this project forward, alongside the many Rovers and Ex-Rovers who have contributed along the way to make it possible.

With the help of a dedicated team, along with support from the Eumeralla Scout Camp rangers, the deck frame and boards are now in place. A massive step forward for something that’s been a long time coming.

There’s still more work to come, including finishing touches and a roofed verandah, but it’s fantastic to see it all coming together!

South West Passed the Test!!!

A number of our regions' Rovers attended the Express Essentials and Unit Management courses on 18/4 and had a blast, learning tons of new things. The Rover Scouts Victoria training team ran a brilliant, engaging course that all who attended learned plenty from.

Great day in Horsham with Buandik Rovers at their local Kannamaroo Festival over the weekend! 🎉

It was awesome to get behind them and support their stall, and even better to have a chance to finally scarf up Aaron, our PR & Activities Officer, into the South West Region Exec at the event!
