We are back at the Shed today after our Easter break.
Lots to do in this glorious weather.
If you have ever wondered what we do at the Womens Shed come along and have a meet and greet. We are open from 12.30. Perfect weather to be out and about.

The Shed will be closed tomorrow (Good Friday) and we will reopen Friday 24th April.
However, we are still open on face book and messenger and will answer enquiries so feel welcome to reach out.

We have had a visit from the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor The Honourable Margaret Gardener AC.
Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, cold and rainy, but her Excellency was warmly received by us. She was accompanied by the Surfcoast Mayor Libby Stapleton who is a great advocate for our Shed.

A quick tour of our little Shed and some photos. With the poor weather we were unable to demonstrate our power tool skills etc. But we did chat about how important Womens Sheds are to Women.

International Womens Day.
Today we celebrate the terrific achievements, skills, capability, empowerment, leadership, friendship, support and collaboration of our Shed Members.
What a great bunch of Women.

Installing the sleepers around the garden beds is near completion.
Other activities that kept us busy on Friday was creating art works to present in photo frames and stone carving.

We may have been quiet on face book but it has been business as usual at the Shed and super busy.
Since the start of the year we have given the wicking garden a face lift and planted out with veggies, started constructing a new garden bed for Torquay Community House, made board butter and gave some tired wooden bowls, trays and boards a make over, completed a shift at the Anglesea Tip Resale Shed, and started stone carving. Mosaic's are always popular as is Scrabble and cards.
Our barbecue at Bunnings was fun and raised much needed funds.
New friendships are wonderful to see, with social meet ups outside of the Shed held.
Our walking group has recommenced for this year and book club is always popular.
The Shed is also a place where members can have a cuppa around the table as not everyone is up to participating in projects but would still like to feel connected.

If you are thinking of joining the Womens Shed we will be kicking another year off from Jan 30.
We meet from 12.30 to 4.00 on Friday afternoons.

Thank you to Bunnings Torquay for their donation of veggie seedlings and soil/ compost for our new wicking bed garden.

Just a reminder that the Women's Sharing Shed Torquay will be closed this Friday December 12th because we will be having our Christmas party. We will be back on December 19th for one last day before the holidays. Then we return January 30,2026.
