We’re back in Spring with our THIRD Business as a force for good connection and networking event.

The event will showcase how local impact businesses and B Corps are leading the way in creating positive social and environmental change. Hosted at Happy Happy Spaces Torquay on Thursday 21st November.

For the second time this year, the event will showcase how local impact businesses and B Corps are leading the way in creating positive social and environmental change. Hosted at Happy Happy Spaces Torquay on Thursday 22nd August.

Our next featured organisation for the Business as a force for good event, is Surf Coast founded adventure brand XTM Australia.

Earlier this year, XTM were certified as a B Corp. They make performance-focused, planet-friendly gear that gets people outside. Global Sales Manager, Paul Manders will be there to share their story.

Paul started with XTM Performance in early 2009 as the General Manager and has since moved to the Global Sales Manager role with responsibility for international development.

In 2022 Paul led a B Corp certification project which XTM become a Certified B Corp Company in Feb 2024.

Everyone is welcomed to come along and get inspired by the stories of our featured local businesses who are making waves on the Surf Coast.

Our third featured organisation is local coffee legends, Mikro Coffee Roasters.

Mikro Coffee Roasters is a purpose-driven Premium quality coffee company with strong focus on directly-traded coffee and outstanding customer experience. The company values transparent and fair supplier relationships. Local community is a major beneficiary of Mikro Coffee Roasters with over 2% of sales donated directly to local charities, not-for-profit organizations and environmental recovery and revegetation projects.

On the night we will hear from Valeri Tkatchenko, Mikro Coffee Roasters Head Roaster. We look forward to hearing Valeri's insights and experiences running a small business on the Surf Coast and how they create positive social and environmental change.

We welcome those who are doing it already, those who want to step it up and those who are new to it all.

Our Business as a force for good networking event on 2nd May at Happy Spaces on the Surf Coast is really starting to take shape and feel fun.

We'll hear stories from our numerous featured organisations, a beautiful blend of global, national and local. There will be plenty of connection activities for everyone there... getting beyond the name tags (we wont have any).

Food and beverages will be on hand from our incredible local business partners. We look forward to seeing you there. Everyone is welcome.

Our second featured organisation is Edge Global.

Edge combines science, strategy and storytelling in partnership with motivated leaders, organisations and industries to reimagine sustainability for positive impact. Senior Consultant at Edge, Miriam Pape will share their story.

Miriam enjoys working with complex problems that combine environmental, social and economic outcomes, and is particularly interested in designing strategies or programs with future implementation in mind.

It's time to introduce the first featured business for the Business as a force for good Networking Event coming up on the 2nd of May, B Corporation. B Corps are a community of over 8000 businesses worldwide that envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. Locally, we have Patagonia, XTM, Rip Curl, Bellroy, Happy Spaces and Mikro Coffee who all have earned the B Corp Certfication. We'll hear from Engagement and Events Manager, Lucinda Waldrens. We are excited to hear from Lucinda about the ins and outs of B Lab and the global B Corp movment. Come prepared with questions, she would love to connect and provide insights.
