The Rotary Club of Torquay 2026 Book Fair is aiming to raise $10,000 for Victorian Bushfire Recovery — and we need our community far and wide to get behind it.

Every book you buy helps make a real difference.
One book. Ten books. An armful you definitely didn’t plan on.

💛 All funds raised will support those affected by the bushfires through the RAWCS Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund.

So come along, grab a great read (or ten), and know you’re helping communities rebuild.

Yesterday was Torquay Food Aid’s big Christmas event. Our clients left with full bags and happy hearts with the assistance of the Torquay community and the donations that were made. From local probus clubs, schools and kindergartens, community groups, churches, local businesses and ordinary everyday people; your contributions have made the world of difference to so many families and individuals .
Without your generosity we would not be able to make the Christmas period as manageable for those doing it tough in our community.

To our volunteers we say a huge thank you. So much work is done behind the scenes by our volunteers who give up their time to ensure we run smoothly every Wednesday. We wish all our volunteer’s a Merry Christmas.

Torquay Food Aid is now closed for a short break. We will reopen again on the 31st December at 1pm.
We wish you all a very safe and Happy Christmas and New Year.

Donations can be dropped off directly at Torquay Food Aid on Wednesday between 12-3 at 2Pimelea Way Torquay or dropped off in the collection boxes at Torquay IGA or Torquay North Woolies 🎅

Each year Torquay Food Aid allows our clients to pick their own hamper to help them to provide for Christmas their way. This is an extra to the weekly food assistance that we supply.
To do this we need the help of the community with donations of non perishable food and gifts that are suitable for all ages.
If you can make a donation please drop it off to Torquay Food Aid at 2 Pimela Way Torquay on a Wednesday between 12-3, or drop any food in the boxes provided at Torquay North Woolies or IGA. If needed you can send us a message and we will organise a pick up.

Every week, Peaches donates a bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables to Torquay Food Aid. Often they add to this with pantry items, deli goods, fresh meat, fish and meals. We would like to thank them for their generosity and goodwill that they show to this community. It's fantastic to have them support all of us.

Last Friday Torquay Food Aid attended the RACV Torquay Golf Club, where we were one of three charities that were presented with $5000. Our treasurer Mandy Buckley was on hand to accept this generous donation. The fantastic conflute was made by local school children. This donation allows us to continue providing a helping hand to our community. Thank you to Charity Premier League at RACV.
