Meet Sally, a Happy Spaces member who is on a mission to end workplace burnout and help organisations genuinely thrive. After experiencing debilitating burnout firsthand during her previous career as a corporate finance lawyer, Sally dedicated her life to rebuilding workplaces in a way that is sustainable, meaningful, and effective.

Today, she brings deeply human, evidence-based programs on stress management, leadership, and psychological safety to teams across Australia and beyond. Sally is the bestselling author of two books, Protect Your Spark and Relight Your Spark, co-hosts the leadership podcast Live+Work More Human, and is a qualified yoga and meditation teacher who has delivered workshops across five continents.

At Happy Spaces, we love to bring people together.

So, it makes plenty of sense that we’ll have keynote speaker Steph Clarke to join us to talk about the future of friendship.

TALK OUTLINE

We’re not talking about friendship enough. It’s one of the biggest factors in our wellbeing, yet we’re stuck in a vortex of wanting more deep connections with our friends while doing less with them. And this pursuit of a friction-less life of convenience is pushing us further into the cold arms of sycophantic robot friends.

This funny, scary, and provocative talk and conversation will paint a picture of what’s possible (you might not like all of it), and ask some big questions about the role we all play in designing what’s next in how we live, work, and connect with the people around us.

There will be time for discussion after the talk.

CELEBRATING FRIENDSHIPS

In Peru, where Kerstin our General Manger is from (and heart and soul of our community)… they celebrate friendships on February 14th.

With that in mind, we’re recognising all the beautiful friendships and collaborations that have been cultivated from our community spaces over the last 8 years overall, and 5 years in Torquay.

The ripples go far beyond our spaces and we just love bringing people together.
