Belle Vie Animal Rescue (BVAR) is a not-for-profit registered charity based in South East Queensland. Our mission is to rescue and rehome animals within our region. We save animals that have been kill listed at pounds, those that have been surrendered and the ones that have been neglected, mistreated or abused. Every animal that comes into care re

ceives all appropriate vet work such as microchipping, vaccinations, desex as well as regular parasite control. We will also ensure that any specialist surgeries such as dental work are completed whilst the animal is in care. To apply for an animal in care, please complete this form -

Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match. And today, we are saying goodbye 💔

After much thought and with heavy hearts, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Belle Vie Animal Rescue.

Running an animal rescue is an enormous emotional, physical and financial commitment. Over the past eight years, both the rescue and our personal lives have changed in many ways, and we've made the difficult decision that now is the right time to close this chapter. Family, wellbeing and the need to step back have all played a significant role in this decision.
While we hope some of our team can continue making a difference in the future, our founder, after 10 years dedicated to animal rescue, has chosen to step away and focus on spending precious time with her young family. Out of respect for everything Belle Vie has represented over the years, we've all agreed that the Belle Vie name will retire with her as this chapter comes to a close.

To every foster carer who opened your home, every volunteer who gave your time, every adopter who chose rescue, every donor who believed in our mission, and every supporter who liked, shared, fundraised or simply cheered us on—thank you. You have been the heart of Belle Vie.

Because of your support, 1,983 dogs and cats were given a second chance at the beautiful life they deserved. Those happy endings will always be something we're incredibly proud of.

We are in the process of finalising our remaining commitments and ensuring everything is wound down responsibly and with the welfare of the animals as our highest priority.

Although Belle Vie Animal Rescue is closing its doors, we hope you'll continue supporting animal rescue by fostering, adopting, volunteering or donating to other wonderful organisations. Rescue is only possible because of compassionate people like you.

This page will remain open for the time, as we hope to use our platform and built connections to showcase the amazing work other rescues are doing.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey. Belle Vie means "beautiful life," and because of all of you, so many animals were able to live one.

This gorgeous Shar Pei x Staffordshire Bull Terrier pup is full of confidence, curiosity, and charm. Whether he's exploring the backyard, investigating every interesting smell, or setting off to see what's around the next corner, Dingo lives life with enthusiasm.

But here's what makes him extra special... ❤️

No matter where his little adventures take him, call his name and he'll come racing straight back with a wagging tail, ready to be part of whatever you're doing.

Dingo loves meeting new people, adores other dogs, and wins hearts wherever he goes. He's also incredibly food motivated (mealtime is VERY exciting!), making training both easy and rewarding.

He's already doing brilliantly with his crate training and toilet training, and his calm, sweet nature even impressed the staff at the vet.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's equal parts explorer, cuddle buddy, and comedian, Dingo is ready to steal your heart.

Another week has flown by and what a lovely one it has been.

We celebrated not one, but two wonderful adoptions this week. 💙

Our sweet boy Cuddles from the Lucky 9 has well and truly hit the jackpot and found his forever family. We are so excited to see him start his next adventure.

We also said goodbye to little Gucci, who has found the perfect home where he will be loved and spoiled just as he deserves.

As much as we love celebrating these happy endings, there are still some beautiful animals patiently waiting for their own turn.

Sage takes on life with his own unique style. He may not hear or see the world the same way as other dogs, but he loves with his whole heart. He is goofy, gentle, and happiest when he is curled up beside his people.

Snowball loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always ready for a cuddle or the possibility of a snack appearing in the kitchen.

Some puppies are full speed ahead from sunrise to sunset.

Banjo prefers a balance.

He loves a good play session with his doggy mates, happily carries his favourite stick around the yard like it's the greatest treasure ever found, and never says no to a soft toy. But when the fun is over, he's just as happy wandering inside for a cuddle before stretching out for a well earned nap.

This handsome Shar Pei x Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy has a beautiful, easygoing nature. He gets along with dogs big and small, enjoys meeting new people, and thinks everyone is a potential friend, especially if they come bearing treats!

Banjo is learning all the important puppy skills, including toilet training and basic commands, and his foster carer says he's a relaxed little guy who takes life in his stride.

If you're looking for a puppy who is playful without being over the top and would fit beautifully into family life, Banjo would love to meet you.

We can't quite believe this gorgeous girl is still searching for her forever family.

Willow is one of those puppies who seems to fit in wherever she goes. She's playful when it's time for fun, gentle when it's time to relax, and always ready to shower her people with affection.

As a Shar Pei x Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy, Willow has the sweetest personality. She loves exploring the backyard, discovering new things, and then coming back for cuddles and reassurance. She's confident without being over the top and curious without getting herself into too much mischief.

She adores people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is growing into a beautiful young girl who will make an incredible companion.

🐾 Meet Cooper & Chase – Two Best Friends Looking for Their Forever Home Together 🐾

These gorgeous purebred Labrador Retriever boys are searching for a loving family to call their own. Our hope is to find them a home together, as they have grown up side by side and share a very special bond.

🩵 Cooper – 2 years, 7 months
🩵 Chase – 1 year, 6 months

✔️ Both males
✔️ Both desexed
✔️ No known medical conditions

Cooper and Chase are everything you love about Labradors friendly, affectionate, playful, and always ready for a cuddle. Being young boys, they can get a little overexcited and are still learning not to jump up when greeting people, but they are eager to please and respond well to guidance.

They enjoy chasing a ball, running around the yard, wrestling together, and soaking up all the love and attention they can get. They know basic commands like sit and come, and while they're still working on loose lead walking, they've had plenty of room to run on a rural property and will continue to thrive with ongoing training.

These boys have been raised around three young children and have been absolutely beautiful with them. They adore people, love giving kisses, and are happiest when they're getting plenty of pats and snuggles.

🐶 They generally enjoy meeting other dogs, although most of their social life has been with each other, so they may need a little time to adjust in a home with resident dogs.

🐱 They haven't had much exposure to cats, so any introductions would need to be managed carefully.

🍽️ The only thing to note is that they should be fed separately, as one is likely to finish the other's meal if given the chance!

Their owners have made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them due to the sale of their home and relocation overseas.
