Although our doors may have closed, something truly beautiful has come from our closure. We’re so incredibly grateful to see a new animal rescue stepping forward to continue helping animals in need.
It’s a reminder that while one chapter may end, the mission to protect, rescue and give animals a second chance can continue in new hands.
We wish Lumina Animal Rescue nothing but love, strength and success as they begin their journey. May they save countless lives, bring hope to animals who need them most, and build something truly special.
Sometimes an ending can be the beginning of something wonderful. ❤️
Please go over and give them a like, follow their page, and even share their posts to help spread the word. Every like, share and bit of support can help them reach more people and ultimately, more animals who need them.
If you’re in a position to do so, please consider making a donation to help them get started and continue providing the care, safety and second chances these animals deserve. Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference and help them save another life. 🐾❤️
✨ Introducing Lumina Animal Rescue ✨
“Light in Their Second Chance.”
After 12 years of rescue being such a huge part of my life, the thought of not having rescue simply couldn’t happen.
Rescue has shaped me, challenged me, broken me, filled it again, and introduced me to some of the most incredible animals and people I’ve ever known. It has become more than something I do it is a part of who I am.
So, from that love, experience, and passion Lumina Animal Rescue was born. 🐾
Lumina Animal Rescue is a registered not-for-profit charity based in South East Queensland, dedicated to giving vulnerable animals the second chance they deserve.
We rescue animals from council pounds, including those at risk of euthanasia, as well as animals who have been surrendered or have experienced neglect, abuse, or mistreatment.
Our mission is simple: to provide safety, medical care, compassion, and a genuine second chance.
Every animal who enters our care receives the veterinary treatment they need, including microchipping, vaccinations, desexing and routine parasite prevention. Where additional care is required whether that be dental work, orthopaedic surgery or ongoing medical treatment we do everything we can to ensure their needs are met before adoption.
Our animals are cared for in dedicated foster homes, surrounded by love, patience and understanding. Foster care gives us the opportunity to learn who each animal truly is their personality, quirks, needs and what kind of family will help them thrive.
Because rescue isn't simply about finding somewhere for an animal to go.
It's about finding them somewhere they belong. 🤍
At Lumina, we believe every animal deserves kindness, dignity and the opportunity to start again.
While this may be the beginning of Lumina Animal Rescue, it is built on 12 years of love, learning, heartbreak, hope and countless second chances.
To every foster carer, volunteer, adopter, supporter and person who has ever opened their heart to an animal in need thank you.
This next chapter is for them.
For the animals who were overlooked.
For the ones who were forgotten.
For the ones who have never known what love feels like.
This is Lumina. The light in their second chance. 🐾✨
