Job Opportunities:
Barista & Short Order Cook
Location: Crows Nest, Toowoomba Region
Hours: Open 7 days a week | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Employer’s Profiel
We are a busy, customer-focused café open daily from 7 AM to 4 PM, and we’re currently looking to expand our team. We have two positions available: Barista and Short Order Cook.

We’re open to hiring 2 x one versatile individual who can confidently handle both roles or two dedicated team members for each position.

Barista Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages
• Operate espresso machines and grinders with care and efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service including using the till and taking orders
• Assist with general front-of-house duties as needed
* clearing of tables and taking orders out to customers
* helping kitchen staff when not busy at the front
* washing dishes
* restocking tables and all take away things at front of house.
Short Order Cook Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook simple, quality meals to order being bacon and eggs, and using the deep fryer for meats on burgers and chips.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Manage prep work and stock rotation
• Work quickly and efficiently during busy periods
• Follow food safety and handling procedures

* take meals out when not busy
* clear tables
* help front of house staff when you are not busy in kitchen.
* put away orders that get delivered
* stock ordering when owner away and managing staff.

About the Role(s):
• We are looking for someone available 3–4 days per week, including weekends
• Additional shifts may be available for the right person
• Applicants must be flexible and willing to work up to two weeks in a row when the owner is away on holidays
• Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience, but training can be provided to the right candidate

Ideal Candidate(s) Will Have:
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work independently and handle busy periods calmly
• A passion for great coffee and/or food

We offer a supportive, friendly environment and are happy to tailor shifts and responsibilities depending on your skills and availability.
