We have spaces available in our Cub Section (ages 8 to 11 years old)!

Cub Scouts focus on exploring the outdoors, discovery and learning interesting things! You’ll get to go on camps and might attend a Cuboree camp with hundreds of other Cub Scouts! As well as learning things like how to use a compass, you’ll go on bushwalks, bike trips, and have the chance to do activities such as sailing, canoeing and abseiling.
Making new friends and building social skills are very important for Cub Scouts. For some, belonging to Cub Scouts provides an opportunity to mix with a new group of people, developing their confidence and ability to make new friends.
Cub Scout families are welcome to get involved too! There’s lots of opportunities for the whole family to make new friends and feel part of the Scouting community.

We're off to Cuboree 2026!!!

Five of our Cubs and Cub leader Emu have left for Cuboree in Samford. There they'll spend 4 nights camping with Cubs from across Queensland and enjoying heaps of fun, adventurous activities.

We can't wait to hear their stories when they get home!!

Research conducted in 2025 by Resilient Youth Australia found that 23% are more open about how they’re feeling and 20% are more likely to face up to problems.

Scouts starts back this Friday for another year of fun and mateship!

Last year, Scouts Australia partnered with Resilient Youth Australia to learn more about our 47,000 youth members, by comparing a national sample of Australian Scouts aged 8-18 with 110,000 of their peers across Australia.

The research shows that, for example, Scouts are:
- 20% are more likely to face up to problems
- 13% are more likely to help others
- 10% more likely to get along better with different people
- 10% are more likely to feel good about themselves
- 23% are more open about how they’re feeling
