Over the coming weeks, we’re checking in with each of our 2026 Charity Partners to see the impact their Foundation grant is having on their organisation and community.

First up is Catherine House - Support for Women Experiencing Homelessness, which provides crisis accommodation and support to women experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

Our $20,000 grant is supporting its Crisis Accommodation Service, helping provide women with safe accommodation, 24/7 support and case management as they work towards secure, long-term housing and independence.

Homelessness can affect anyone, and behind every statistic is a person with a story, hopes, and the opportunity to rebuild their future.

During Homelessness Week, we recognise the organisations helping people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness find safety, stability and a pathway forward.

The People First Bank Foundation is proud to support charities including the Foyer Foundation, Protea Place Women's Support Centre and House. Their teams provide practical support, care and opportunities that help people rebuild their lives with dignity and greater independence.

We thank the staff, volunteers and supporters who continue to show up for people in their communities and help create a future where everyone has a safe place to call home.

We’re proud to have donated 17 laptops to Protea Place Women's Support Centre's BLOOM work readiness program.

The laptops will give each participant access to their own device throughout the program, helping them build practical skills, confidence and pathways towards employment.

We’re pleased to support a program creating meaningful opportunities for women in the community.

The Foundation’s Trivia Night brought incredible energy, fierce competition and plenty of generosity - all while raising an amazing $3,574 to support our charity partners.

A huge congratulations to our Trivia Night champions, and thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, purchased raffle tickets and helped make the evening such a success.

Five years ago, John helped begin our partnership with DV Safe Phone. Today, we’ve reached an incredible milestone: 1,000 phones donated.

Each phone can provide a domestic violence victim-survivor with a vital connection to safety, support and independence.

But this is just the beginning. Drop off your old working phone into a People First Bank or Heritage branch and help us keep creating all kinds of good.

People helping people. That's the power of the People First Bank Good Squad.

Yesterday, 18 incredible People First Bank Good Squad volunteers joined forces with our charity partner DV Safe Phone to give old mobile phones a new purpose.

Together, they carefully tested and sorted more than 400 donated mobile phones, with 248 devices passing testing and now ready to support people escaping domestic and family violence.

A safe, working mobile phone can mean access to emergency services, family, support networks and a pathway to safety. It's a simple device that can make a life-changing difference.

Have an old mobile phone tucked away in a drawer?

The Weis Community Fund has committed $120,000 over three years to help develop the leadership capability of the Darling Downs Social Enterprise Network.

By investing in the people leading our region's social enterprises, we're investing in:
