Blush Cancer Care invites you to a session of a brand new impact film, Conquering Breast Cancer this Wednesday, 2nd September at 6pm at The Strand Cinema Toowoomba.

Imagine a world without cancer… this compelling social impact film inspires us to do just that. Asking can Australia rise to the challenge of conquering breast cancer?
Currently, breast cancer is the 2nd most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. While survival rates have improved significantly, breast cancer is far from ‘solved’.

This brand new impact film highlights the urgent challenge of preventing, detecting
and treating one of the nation’s most common cancers. You'll be inspired by the
powerful stories from survivors, advocates and experts in the field as they explore
the progress that's been made and the work still to be done, to ensure breast cancer
becomes survivable for everyone.

The film features well-known Australians, including Raelene Boyle AM, MBE, and Paul Maley, alongside many passionate survivors, advocates and healthcare professionals.

After a very successful opening run of sessions across the country, the film is now coming to Toowoomba.

The session will be held at Toowoomba Strand on Wednesday 02 September from 6:00pm. Tickets are available from The Strand - https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/movie/conquering-breast-cancer =37&date=2026-09-02

How awesome are the team from CrossFit Toowoomba, Dandarriga Farms and Amy?

Thank you for putting in the hard yards and for your generosity! Your donation helps us to diminish the impact of cancer for those in our community by providing services like oncology massage and counselling with no out-of-pocket cost to our clients.

You’ve made a very real difference and we are so grateful 🩵💪🩵

Glad to be able to support such an awesome local charity Hope Horizons

The generosity of our local community is truly humbling. Paul from Luxe Lawns & Gardens got in touch with us following the theft of our gardening equipment, and along with the team from Motor Mecca have made an incredible donation of a brand new Stihl lawn mower, whipper snipper and blower!

Coming into Spring our wonderful volunteer gardening team will be loving this new gear, made even more special by the generosity of these local businesses.

Thank you from the bottom of our (green) hearts! 🌿💚💐

Following the break-in and theft of gardening equipment at the Centre recently, we were completely overwhelmed by so many offers of assistance from our generous community.

Thank you to everyone who contacted us - we are so very grateful.

We were thrilled to receive a new line trimmer, batteries (and a secure padlock) from the team at Bunnings Toowoomba North store. Thank you for your support and kindness.

Today we remember our beautiful Chris. Two years ago she left us - and left a huge hole in the Hope Horizons family.

Chris was with Hope Horizons from the very beginning, a volunteer and treasured member of our office team from day one. What she loved most about being part of Hope Horizons was simple: putting a smile on the face of every person who walked through the door. And she did, without fail. Chris had a gift for making people feel seen and special, and in doing so, she lived out exactly what Hope Horizons stands for - diminishing the impact of cancer for our clients and the people who love them.

Our amazing group of volunteers have carried on Chris' legacy, and we are so proud and grateful for their commitment, generosity and kindness.

Thank you Chris - we love and miss you 🩵

We were very sad to discover that on Thursday night our garden shed at 233 North Street was broken into and our lawn mower, line trimmer, edge trimmer and electric blower/vacuum were stolen.

It was an upsetting day for our amazing team of volunteers who work so hard to keep our Centre running and looking beautiful. Everything we do here is to diminish the impact of cancer for those in our region - right down to maintaining the gardens 🌸

While we are sad and disappointed, we know that our amazing community will continue to support us 🌸
