The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) helps people with a disability achieve their goals, including greater independence, community involvement, employment and improved wellbeing. The NDIS also provides people with disability, their family and carers with information and referrals to existing support services in the community. The NDIS has developed a ‘Partner in the Community, Local Are

a Coordinator (LAC) Program’ with Carers Queensland to service the Toowoomba region. This program works with the Toowoomba region community to improve inclusion of people with disability and build awareness of disability.
