Today, we celebrate the women who nurture, guide, support and love in so many different ways. 💙

To the mothers raising families, the grandmothers sharing wisdom, the step mums, carers, aunties, mentors and mother figures who help shape our communities — thank you.

We also acknowledge those who hold their mothers close in memory, those navigating difficult relationships, and the women who wished for the opportunity to become mothers but never had that chance. Today can carry many emotions, and there is a place for all of them.

At QCWA, we know the strength of our communities is built on compassion, resilience and care — qualities so many women share every day, often quietly and without recognition.

Wherever Mother’s Day finds you today, we hope you feel appreciated, supported and valued.

Happy Mother’s Day from QCWA. 💐

Looking for a quick snack or lunchbox idea? 🍕

These mini English muffin pizzas are easy to make, super versatile, and perfect for using up leftover veg in your fridge. Try swapping out the capsicum or baby spinach for pumpkin, zucchini, corn, onion, or mushrooms.🌽🧅🍄

They’re also a fun way to get kids involved in the kitchen!

What a great evening celebrating our local Girl Guides Mums. We had the pleasure of attending the local girl guide unit meeting and providing scones with jam and cream; we helped the girls put the jam and cream on. Then the girls served them to their mums (or significant female adult). Everyone had a good time, lots of conversation, plenty of yummy scones and sandwiches and it was great to collaborate with our local Girl Guides.
