Lock some dates into your diaries!
A newby coming up is the Scones & Scrabble on 20th July and 17th August where you can come along and play cards and board games for a couple of hours with beverages available. Bring a friend or make a new one
Our latest guest speaker is Mary O'Brien from Are you Bogged Mate. Mary is very entertaining as she speaks passionately about helping country blokes talk about mental health and su***de.
We also have International Samoan Day event & a TOMBOLA coming up for those enjoying new or fun experiences.

Just a reminder that the QCWA Darling Downs Division Meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 10th June, at Kingsthorpe Hall.

Time: 9.00am for a 9.30am start.

Kingsthorpe Branch are looking forward to hosting us.
Please remember to dress warmly.

There’ll be plenty of delicious hot soup to warm the tummy.

Please also allow a little extra travel time, as there is still some roadwork happening around Kingsthorpe, but we’re sure you’ll find your way around it.

Northern Region Conference Update

Please note that the Northern Region Conference has been rescheduled to 31 July, 1 and 2 August.

It was another great year at Farmfest! Darling Downs facilitators came together for the annual event that attracts over 30,000 visitors 🚜.

We connected with people from all across the state and handed out plenty of delicious taste testers and resources. Thanks to Darling Downs Health for hosting us for the event 🍍🍅🥦.

Our marketing officer Lara Wilde is on the road capturing photos and videos of our branches from the Gold Coast to Cairns this month (June). The videos and images will be used in our future marketing and will be available to your branch to attract new members and promote your activities.

A Note for June

As we head toward the end of the financial year, please remember that June is a particularly busy time for our Treasurers.
Where possible, avoid scheduling events in the final week of June while accounts are being finalised.
Please extend patience and support as books are balanced and reports are prepared.

Treasurers:
Don’t forget to follow your checklist in preparation for your responsible person/auditor, and ensure all required documentation is forwarded to your
Division Treasurer and State Office in a timely manner.
Once again, thank you to each and every volunteer who makes QCWA the strong, supportive and inspiring organisation it is today.
