❤️ Give Away to someone in need ❤️

One of our Participants is giving away a Novacorr adjustable electric bed. He would like it to go to someone who has a need for it.

it's been serviced on time and is in good condition.
Just a little wear and tear from use but overall, it's in good shape.
It has functions to raise the head, foot, or together at the same time and it raises up and down. Also has head and foot boards.

Today’s Admin Catch-Up was a great chance to reconnect, share updates, and stay across the important work happening behind the scenes. 🥰

Amanda gave us an update on our participants and the progress being made, while Pat walked us through how rostering is shaping up for both staff and participants.
As for Franky, he made sure there was no shortage of work by finding a few more tasks to add to our list! 😆

These catch-ups are a valuable reminder of the importance of communication, teamwork, and supporting one another. By staying connected and informed, we can continue delivering quality support and ensuring everything runs smoothly for the people who rely on us. ✨

Franky got the shock of his life today and we’re still laughing about it.

After not seeing one of our young participant for quite a while, Franky decided to pop in for a visit and check how he was going. What he didn’t expect was to be greeted by a fully grown skyscraper. When we first started supporting him, this young legend was only up to Franky’s shoulders. Cute, quiet, still growing.
Fast forward to today… and Franky is standing there looking up to the skies just to say hello.
Moments like this remind us why we love what we do. Watching our participants grow, thrive, and turn into absolute champions.
Franky walked away smiling, shaking his head and muttering something about “getting intimidated” A wholesome reunion and a reminder of how quickly life moves

Small outing can lead to big discoveries!

Yesterday we took one of our participants to the Retirement & Seniors Lifestyle Expo, and while wandering through the stalls, we discovered a service that aligns beautifully with our industry.
We connected with ADA Australia.
ADA Australia is an independent, not‑for‑profit organisation that supports aged care participants, NDIS participants and carers across Queensland.
They provide:
Advocacy — helping people understand their rights and speak up when things don’t feel right.
NDIS appeals and support — assisting participants with reviews, complaints, and navigating tricky processes.
Information & education — empowering people with clear, accessible guidance.
Their focus is simple: ensuring people are treated fairly, respectfully, and with dignity.

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, David! 🎂🎉

David celebrated in style today with a pub feed, a chocolate cake, and a room full of family and support workers who were more than happy to help him eat it! 🍻🍫

There were plenty of laughs, good food, and birthday celebrations as we marked another trip around the sun. 👏🏻🌞

We hope you’ve had an awesome day, David. Thanks for giving us another excuse to enjoy cake during work hours. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead filled with good times, great food, and plenty more adventures! 🎈🥳

🖥️ Keeping TCSS Safe, Secure & Running Smoothly

Today we welcomed an external IT technician to TCSS to complete a full check of our systems, software, and digital security. Having regular IT reviews isn’t just a “nice to have” it’s essential.
It means
- Stronger security for our participants’ information
- Reliable systems for our staff to work efficiently
- Fewer tech hiccups that slow down support
- Peace of mind knowing everything behind the scenes is running exactly as it should
At TCSS, we take our responsibility seriously. Both in the care we provide and the systems that support that care. A huge thank you to our IT tech for keeping us up to date, protected, and operating at our best.

✨ Welcome to the Team, Trinity! ✨

We are very excited to officially welcome Trinity to the TCSS family as our new Registered Nurse! 💙

Trinity brings with her valuable clinical knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for supporting both participants and staff. In her role, she will be leading and conducting our staff clinical training sessions to help ensure our team continues to provide safe, high-quality, and person-centred care across all supports.

At TCSS, we strongly believe that ongoing education and professional development are essential in delivering the best outcomes for the people we support. Having Trinity join our team is another positive step forward in strengthening our clinical practices and empowering our staff with the skills and confidence they need in their roles.

Trinity will be assisting with a range of clinical training and support areas, helping staff build their knowledge, refresh important skills, and stay up to date with best practices within the disability and community care sector.

We are incredibly happy to have her on board and cannot wait for everyone to meet and work alongside her. 🙌

🐍 A little excitement at one of our client’s homes today…

One of our support workers spotted a snake making itself far too comfortable in the client’s yard this morning.

Safety for our client and our staff is always our top priority so the snake catcher was called straight away. For a moment there, we were pretty close to evacuating the house and just letting the snake have the place. Rent‑free. No questions asked.

Thankfully, the professionals arrived quickly and our unexpected visitor was safely relocated back to the great outdoors where it belongs.

A big thank you to our support worker for staying calm, acting fast, and keeping everyone safe. Never a dull moment in community support.

Big week for TCSS. we managed to get Franky out of the office and doing some real work.
(Yes, you read that right. Miracles do happen.)

This wasn’t your average tidy‑up. We’re talking 7+ dump runs, 10+ trailer loads moved from one house to another and then hours of organising and stacking boxes neatly into a spare room. A full‑body workout disguised as support work.
And because every big clean reveals a surprise or two, the boys uncovered some absolute classics:
- Cassette tapes and VCR cassettes - the kind you almost need to put in a museum now
- And the highlight… a barn‑find XY SS 6‑speed manual Commodore ute in immaculate condition that’s destined to be a collectible one day

All of this while battling the Wandoan heat, which was doing its best to melt them into the trailer.

Huge appreciation to both of them. Especially Franky, who bravely left the comfort of his office chair to rediscover what “manual labour” feels like.
Dimo, thanks for supervising his survival, hard work, good humour and a whole lot of sweat. This is what teamwork and genuine support look like.
