From humble beginnings to supporting communities across the Mid and North Coast, our mission has always been the same, helping people stay connected. What began more than 35 years ago with one employee and a typewriter has grown into a registered charity and social enterprise, providing safe, reliable and accessible transport to thousands of people each year. If this sounds like something you want to be a part of us, volunteer with us! Follow the link to find out more, we promise we’ve upgraded from the typewriter 😉 https://bit.ly/472Ws6c

WE WON!

We are incredibly proud to share that The Community Transport Company Volunteers have been named Best Volunteer Team for 2026 at the Volunteering NSW Mid North Coast Awards!

Every year, our extraordinary volunteers give more than 120,000 hours of their time and drive over 2 million kilometres, helping thousands of people to get where they need to go, stay independent, remain connected and continue participating in their communities.

But the true value of volunteering can never be measured in hours or kilometres alone.

Our volunteers bring something to our service that simply can't be captured in numbers – love, care, kindness, connection and a genuine desire to help another person and give back to their community, expecting nothing in return. Those intangible qualities make every journey a little more personal, every interaction a little warmer, and our entire service so much richer.

This award belongs to our whole volunteer family – from the wonderful people out on the road supporting our clients every day, to our visionary volunteer Board who generously give their time, experience and expertise to guide our organisation.

Our volunteers are the heart of The Community Transport Company. They don't just help us deliver our service – they make it better.

This year, we also had the privilege of celebrating some of the remarkable people behind our service through our Volunteer Microdocumentary Series – sharing their stories, their reasons for volunteering and the very special contribution they make to their communities.

You can watch the series here: https://bit.ly/3NyaaJH

And the journey isn't over yet. Our team now goes forward as a finalist for the NSW State Award, to be announced in Sydney on 3 December.

We could not be prouder.

Congratulations, Team TCTC – this one's yours.

Created by talented young local filmmakers, these short films share the inspiring stories of our volunteers and passengers, showcasing just how vital community transport is. These stories are about so much more than getting from A to B. They celebrate connection, independence, and the resilience of our passengers, while highlighting the generosity and dedication of the volunteers who make it all possible. Watch the series and discover the people behind the journey. https://bit.ly/3NyaaJH
