Next Tuesday is our Children's Week event "Our Big World in Our Small Community" come along and have some fun learning about the different cultures of the world.

Children’s Week 2026: Everyone Should Know About Children’s Rights!

The National Theme for Children’s Week 2026 is inspired by UNCRC The national theme for Children’s Week 2026 is based on UNCRC Based on Article 30: Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion.

To celebrate, join our fun event
“Welcome to Our Big World in Our Small Community” Day
at Nintirri, in the outdoor Playgroup area, on 27th October from 8:30 – 10:30am

A family event where children can have fun collecting passport stamps, explore different cultures, create art, enjoy music, learn new words and try different foods from around the world.
Come learn about some of the cultures that make our amazing community!
Special guest visits from Tiny Tots Play Gym.

This event is proudly supported by Meerilinga, Lottery west, and the Departments of Communities and Education through the Children’s Week grant.

As part of Children's Week 2026 we have Chrissy from Sleepy Smalls Co back in Tom Price with her brand new session - Sleepy Rhythms™ ✨

Focusing on sleep support for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, we want you to leave understanding your child's sleep picture, knowing where you can start and feeling that you have further support available if you need it! 🌸

Best yet we have a creche organised for this session so parents can be fully present (babies in arms welcome at the session) 📣

Establishing a Child Safety Governance Group in Tom Price

On Thursday 15 October, local community organisations and stakeholders, including education, health came together at the Nintirri Centre in Tom Price to discuss the establishment of a locally led Child Safety Governance Group.

The workshop focused on developing the group’s purpose and responsibilities, membership, and ways of working.

Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their ideas and contributed to these important conversations. Together, we are working towards a stronger, community-led approach to child safety in Tom Price.

The group will meet again in late November, stay tuned for updates on the next steps as we continue this important work.

A special thankyou to our facilitator, Christina Kadmos from Kalico Consulting for guiding the discussion and creating a space for meaningful conversations.
