Tocumwal Local Health Advisory Committee - LHAC Tocumwal LHAC advocates for better access to health services for residents in Tocumwal Our preferred way to do this would be to support you to seek help.

Tocumwal LHAC meetings are held every third Thursday of the month (except January) at 1.30 pm at the Community Health Centre – MPS. Tocumwal LHAC is currently working towards improving and expanding Visiting Medical Officer services to Tocumwal MPS and growing community, expanding community knowledge of LHAC role and function, promotion of Mental Health programs within the local community, advocat

ing for 24 hour Ambulance service for Tocumwal community, and supporting our local MPS staff, residents and patients. HOUSE RULES

If the person continues to make inappropriate posts and comments they will be blocked from the page. Any information that is uploaded to the page is not confidential, and Tocumwal LHAC shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose and distribute the information to others without limitation. We’re asking you to complete our community survey to find out what you need in your health services into the future.

We want as many people as possible within the local community to get involved.

Tocumwal LHAC held the annual Election of Office Bearers this week with the appointment of Executive Officers:

Chair: Anne Seamer
Vice Chair: Glenda Burns & Vanessa Ranken
Secretary: Mary-Anne Menhennitt
Communications Officer: Delwyn Hillis

LHAC members also met with senior staff from Murrumbidgee Local Health District and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network to discuss priority areas and projects for 2025.

Some of the big ticket items discussed were:

• Open Day
• Garden Redesign Project
• Daycare Centre

Members also discussed organising a drop box for community members to provide their feedback, ideas, questions and comments for the LHAC to respond to.

Tocumwal LHAC was proud to host an education day for children from our local primary school. Kids from years 5 and 6 learned some essential summer skills including:
🔘 how to call 000 in an emergency
🔘how to bandage a limb after snake bite
🔘how to use a puffer for Asthma

👍 👍 COMMUNITY EDUCATION SESSIONS:
Members of the community were treated to some free information sessions on treatment for snake bite, how to use a Epi pen, community defibrillator, CPR and choking this week.

A huge shout out and thank you to Facility Manager Ashlee Reeves for organising and to the fabulous staff who assisted and gave generously of their time on the day! Great job! 🤩 👍
