🚨 Community Event – Get Techy, Get Ready, Go | Thorpdale Hall 🚨

Local Baw Baw Shire community members are warmly invited to attend the

Get Techy, Get Ready, Go preparedness session this Saturday at 6:00 pm at Thorpdale Hall, 14 Johnstone Street, Thorpdale.

Thanks to funding support from AusNet, Baw Baw Shire Council has upgraded switchboards in selected community halls and provided generators to help ensure our halls can operate as safe refuge locations during emergencies or natural disasters that may impact electricity supply.

At this session, representatives from Baw Baw Shire will demonstrate how the generator connects to the hall and provide practical guidance on how to prepare for emergency situations, including tips for protecting important documents and planning ahead for severe weather events.

We are also pleased to welcome representatives from Ambulance Victoria, who will share valuable safety advice for staying prepared during emergency situations.

Our wonderful local Thorpdale CFA brigade will be attending with a fire truck on display for children, providing a great opportunity for families to engage with local volunteers and learn more about emergency response.

Baw Baw Shire Council will also be hosting some children’s activities, with food and drinks provided free of charge, giving the community an opportunity to come together, share a meal, and gain important knowledge to help prepare for future unpredictable weather events.

We are extremely proud of our community hall and sincerely grateful for the ongoing support provided by Baw Baw Shire Council.

We look forward to seeing local community members come together for this informative and family-friendly event.
