A Final Farewell from Forest Lakes Thornlie Family Centre

The Management Board and Staff of the Forest Lakes Thornlie Family Centre would like to say one final farewell to our incredible community.

After 30 years of service, countless challenges, and tireless advocacy, we are closing our doors for the final time —walking away with our heads held high, knowing we did our very best for the people we proudly served.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We wish everyone all the very best for the future.

While our service is closed we will still have bread available free to the community for the next 2 weeks Monday, Tuesday and Friday after 12:30pm and like today on some other occasions which we will post on here.

Dear Community Members/Supporters/Partners,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our closure as of today. This decision was not made lightly, but due to a number of challenges, we believe this is the right step forward.

Since our founding in 1992, we have been honored to serve the community by providing services, supporting individuals, advocating for those who have needed it . None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, community partners, and supporters like you.

We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished at the Forest Lakes Thornlie Family Centre.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Child Health will continue to operate out of the building and hopefully another amazing not for profit will join them soon.
