Fun day had by all at the Elvis Day at Thoona CWA. Elvis impersonator, Mark Apollo, was a great success. Afternoon tea was enjoyed by all. Mare’s sausage rolls were a huge hit.

Craft morning that was planned for next Monday 1st June has been cancelled but next month we have an exciting project to work on and are wanting input from the full members and ideas from the junior members. Date will be announced soon.

The State Conference is over for another year. 4 Thoona ladies went down to Melbourne for a very enjoyable couple of days.

Happy 80 th birthday to us!!

Great celebration of 80 years of Thoona CWA. We all came together and worked out the issues of no electricity on the day of the birthday. We had a generator to heat the all important kettle and candles so the ladies could see their afternoon tea. Four members performed a skit around using a party line and we had memorabilia and current information and activities on display. Thank you to all the other branches and Benalla Mayor for joining us for a great day.

Thoona CWA Craft morning at 30 Lakeside Drive tomorrow morning. Bring your current project or just come along for a chat and a cuppa. Will be cutting out tie rugs but also some crochet stitches for anyone interested. 9 am start.
