A few years ago my mornings started with the ocean, not a haircare brand.
I was working with Surfers for Climate, getting people into the water for a pre-work swim. The same excuse kept coming up: hair. Nobody wanted wet, tangled, salty hair before a nine o’clock meeting.
So I made a hair tie out of waste rubber and old tubes, dumpster dived from bike shop bins. Something that could hold hair through a swim without wrecking it.
That one product became a full professional range: . Healthy hair for people who swim, ride, sweat, and don’t want to choose between looking after their hair and living their life.
Switching from surf to hair is one of the best moves I’ve made. Though it isn’t really a switch. I did my work experience in grade 10 at a salon and loved it. This was always in me, it just took a detour through bike shop bins to find its way out.
Hair shouldn’t be the reason you miss the action.
