We

want you to get involved, and it’s really simple. All you need to do is grab an old shoebox and fill it with a few essentials that could help someone who is living on the street. The main items that are needed include non-perishable food items, toiletries and warmth. Everything doesn’t need to be brand new. You will find you have most of these things at your house already:
- an old jacket or pair of socks you no longer need/wear
- hotel toiletries
- spare body lotions you don’t use
- tinned foods that you haven’t eaten and won’t miss
- bottled water

Each shoebox we send out contains:

Socks
Beanie or Gloves or Scarf

Shampoo
Conditioner
Moisturiser
Soap / Gel
Razor
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Tissues
Antiperspirant

Some sort of breakfast (small cereals and UHT milk or breakfast biscuits)
2x tinned food items (soup, spaghetti, baked beans, tuna and individually wrapped crackers)
2min noodles
Muesli bar
Lollies / chocolate
Biscuits / chips
Fruit cup / tinned fruit
Tea
Water bottle or juice popper
Disposable cutlery

Don't have all of these items? That's OK! We are taking ALL donations and will add anything you donate to the collection to complete unfinished shoeboxes. Even shoeboxes! Those wishing to donate may do so by sending us a private message with your contact details. We will arrange to collect your shoeboxes and deliver them to those who could really use your help. If you are not local (we currently distribute across the Central Coast region, NSW), we are able to point you in the direction of a local shelter in your community who will be more than happy to distribute these for you. Spread the word on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag and share this page with your friends to join in on the Shoebox Revolution

Even if each family across Australia who is able could just donate one shoebox a month, we will be providing much needed sustenance, warmth, cleanliness, and a little spot of sunshine to the millions of lives of those who are really doing it tough. It could be a real game changer, guys!

When I say we have the best volunteers, I truly mean it.

We're a small team at Shoebox Revolution.

📦 Trish and Susan single-handedly pack all of the care packages we distribute across the central coast
🛜Joe connects us with the most amazing people and organisations to collaborate and support our shared community goals AND collects food for us each week
🌭 The Coasties Feeding Coasties crew has changed a few times over the past two years, with some being here since the first week and other newer faces - each and every one who comes now, or has EVER come to cook food, serve food, clean up, collect food, lend their ear, are absolute legends.

I had a family emergency on Monday morning and just before the lunch, I had to pull the pin and say I couldn't make it.
This team stepped in and ran the lunch without me without hesitation. I literally had all the meat for the BBQ and someone said all good I'll go buy 2KG of snags and see the rest of you there. Another volunteer who wasn't even supposed to come said I'll come and unlock and disarm the room. Absolutely unstoppable!!!

Public holidays are always tough for our guests, because every day without support from services like ours makes a huge difference in their lives.
I cannot thank our team enough for what they do every week.

So grateful to the amazing charity hub The Bikers Hand - they provide essentials to so many Central Coast charities.

Thanks to this haul, we were able to restock our shelves to make care packages AND give out food hampers at our weekly lunch

Today we didn't just give out a beautiful, hot meal completely free to our local community. We also gave out a number of non perishable food hampers, thanks to the amazing people at The Bikers Hand

What a great Easter Monday FREE community lunch we had yesterday 🐰

We enjoyed a beautiful BBQ out in the sunshine 🌞 It was so lovely to be amongst the chatter and laughter. Our guests are honestly the best, so appreciative, warm and polite, but also full of rich lives and culture with so many people attending from all different walks of life.

When the leader didn't book the hall for our FREE community lunch in time, and someone else booked it first 😬 it never crossed our minds to cancel!!!!

Here's the team, cooking on the BBQs in the rain. What an incredible team I am so grateful for 🙏🏽 we actually had so much fun and didn't hear one complaint! Maybe we will do more picnics in the park - what do you think?

What can I say about our Christmas lunch on Monday?

It was so beautiful to see so many of our locals come and share a meal together to celebrate what can be an extremely lonely and hurtful time for some of these people.

A massive thank you to our volunteer Dom and MasterFoods for providing delicious ham (and of course, Dave for carving it all)

To Joe Scicluna for connecting us with a bunch of businesses who donate food - AND picking it up week after week

To all the other volunteers who buy, prepare and bring food each week, out of their own pocket - they're truly amazing - then come and serve it with a smile, making beautiful connections with our guests
