Do you love the outdoors, enjoy practical projects, and want to spend your time making a difference for rescued animals? 🐷🌿

Contented Pig Inn is seeking a reliable, easy-going and motivated volunteer individual or couple to join our sanctuary team and help care for our off-grid property.

What we offer:
🚌 Accommodation in our funky live-in bus “77”
📶 WiFi
🥕 A weekly food allowance
🌱 The chance to live a simple rural lifestyle while helping create a safe and happy home for rescued pigs
Who we are:
🐷 An off-grid sanctuary providing lifelong care for rescued pigs
🌿 A vegan sanctuary
🚫 Drug and alcohol free environment
💚 A passionate team working every day to give animals the lives they deserve

Who we are looking for:
🌱 An easy-going yet motivated person or couple
🔨 Someone organised, with practical skills in property maintenance, gardening, fencing, repairs, building, or general infrastructure projects. Ability to operate skidsteer/excavator (preferred not essential).
🚗 Must have your own transport

📅 Able to commit to a minimum of 3 months

This is a volunteer role suited to someone who enjoys rural living, being outdoors, working with their hands, and knowing their efforts directly help animals in need.

When you're old and almost everyone gives you the sh*ts.

Dozer is the one responsible for this place, I loved him so much, I had to help his kind.

No doubt he would have been happy as an only pig forever, although he does love having one pig friend for company.

A touch of rain has freshened things up a little. Its been a welcome few days of change. There's even some little green grassy patches! Very exciting 🌱😍

The first day of winter and my 6pm water tops ups felt like my fingers were frozen. Tomorrow at 6am it'll be 3 °c. So looking forward to it! 🥶😆 Time to stock up on gloves and beanies.

We're absolutely desperate to to get the pigs shelters filled with warm cozy bedding hay, but there just isn't any available at the moment. Hopefully it's not too far off, and in the mean time, the pigs have been enjoying the cooler weather and soft earth.
