THREE RIVERS HIGH POINT SERIES – THE FINAL IS HERE!

Tonight at Longreach, the 2026 Three Rivers High Point Series reaches its conclusion, with 12 championship buckles to be awarded!

Over the course of the series, cowboys and cowgirls have travelled considerable distances to compete at rodeos throughout Central West Queensland, supporting the committees and communities that have made this series possible.

With drought conditions continuing to impact many regional communities, events like these are about much more than competition. They bring people together, provide a welcome night out and help keep our local rodeos going.

Tonight is an opportunity to recognise the competitors who have made the effort to participate throughout the series, along with the committees and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to put these events on.

If you're in Longreach or the surrounding area, come along tonight, enjoy some exciting rodeo action and show your support for the local rodeo community.

📍 Longreach, Queensland
🕔 Gates open 5pm – Saturday 10 October
🏆 Best of luck to all competitors in tonight's final round!

Supporting our local rodeos means supporting the communities that make them possible.

**Supporting participation and the future of rodeo in western Queensland**

The **Three Rivers High Point Series** was created following discussions with western Queensland rodeo committees about ways to encourage greater participation, support regional events and provide more opportunities for young and emerging competitors.

The **National Rodeo Council of Australia**, in partnership with our member association **Rodeo Services Australia**, is proud to support the series and the committees working hard to keep rodeo strong across the west.

By linking participating rodeos throughout the season, the series gives competitors an added incentive to travel between events, support multiple committees and accumulate points towards a **Three Rivers High Point buckle**, with the final presentations to be held at Longreach on the 10th Octobern2026.

Rodeos play an important role in rural communities — bringing people together, supporting local businesses and providing opportunities for competitors of all ages to participate in the sport.

See our full series schedule, points system and eligible events.

📊 **We’ll also be sharing the current event standings shortly as the series continues.**
