Our clients enjoyed a visit to the indoor pool for a swimming session.

Activities like swimming help support physical wellbeing, build confidence in the water, and encourage independence while having fun. Shanice was even able to run an aerobics class for everyone, which they all really enjoyed.

We love providing opportunities that support our clients to stay active, social, and engaged.

Friendship isn’t just about sharing the good times.
It’s about supporting one another, staying connected, and being there through both the good and the challenging moments. 💛

Recently, one of our beautiful ladies experienced a small health setback and is currently recuperating, meaning she won’t be able to attend our ladies group for the next few weeks.

But connection doesn’t stop just because someone can’t make it.

Our wonderful ladies packed up some goodies, paid her a visit, and spent some time together sharing laughs, conversation, and plenty of get well soon wishes. ✨

The friendships within this group mean so much, and at Pinnacle Community Services we absolutely love seeing the genuine care, support, and smiles these ladies bring to each other’s lives.

Because true friendship shows up when it matters most. 💐

Pinnacle Community Bus Trial – Now Continuing! 🚌

Following the success of our community bus trial, Pinnacle is pleased to announce that our scheduled stop transport service will continue to help provide a more seamless and accessible transport option for the community.

The Pinnacle community bus will continue making regular stops at key locations used by our clients. This means you can hop on without calling ahead or booking, as long as you are at the stop at the scheduled time.

How it works:
If you’ve finished shopping and it’s 10:45am, and the Pinnacle bus is scheduled to stop at Woolworths at 11:00am, simply take a seat and wait. Our friendly driver will arrive shortly and assist you home.

Accessibility:
Our community bus is designed to support people with different mobility needs. The bus is wheelchair and walker accessible, and includes a hydraulic lift to safely assist passengers who may have reduced mobility getting on and off the bus.

For those who may not be able to access the bus or require a different level of support, pre-bookings can also be made so that a Pinnacle transport car can be arranged if needed.

Who can use the service?
Pinnacle Transport is available to NDIS participants, aged care clients, and community members who may be disadvantaged due to not having a vehicle or access to friends and family to help them get around. Our goal is to support people to stay active, connected, and independent within the community.

Already a Pinnacle client?
Great news – there are no changes needed. You can continue to access this service as usual.

Not yet a client?
You are welcome to collect an intake form from our bus drivers or visit our office at 294 Hoskins Street. One of our transport coordinators will then be in touch to set you up in our system so you can jump on whenever needed.

Cost:
• $7 return trip within town limits (may depend on funding if claiming through a package)
• $3 for any additional stops

This service is designed to make transport simple, flexible, and accessible, helping more people in our community get where they need to go.

We are so incredibly proud of Josh and Thank you to his amazing support worker, Debbie!

This week marked the first day of Josh’s volunteering with the Temora Community Centre, where he helped prepare lunches for their wonderful Plates of Plenty program, held every Thursday.

Giving back to the community is such a meaningful experience, and Josh embraced every minute of it with enthusiasm and a big smile. Opportunities like this build confidence, connection, and a strong sense of belonging.

A heartfelt thank you to the Temora Community Centre for giving Josh and our pinnacle clients the opportunity to be involved ~ Josh absolutely loved it and next month he will be joined with Shanice and they can’t wait to be back in the kitchen !!! 💛⭐️

Every Tuesday, Pinnacle Community Services proudly delivers Meals on Wheels to our clients around Temora.

Some meals are delivered by our marvellous volunteers who generously give their time to support our community. The other half are delivered by our amazing crew from Pinnacle House, alongside their dedicated support workers.

These weekly deliveries do so much more than provide a meal. They create connection. They build confidence. They foster a strong sense of belonging for our Pinnacle House clients, while also bringing smiles, friendly conversations, and meaningful interaction to those receiving the meals.

It’s community supporting community, and we are so proud to be part of it. 💙

Reconnection After 20+ Years 💛

Last week Pinnacle held our monthly Social Group Meet & Eat, and what a beautiful reminder of why connection matters.

We were excited to welcome our newest member, into our lovely ladies group. Our monthly meet-ups give everyone the opportunity to stay socially connected, build friendships, and remain engaged within the community. Each month sees our Ladies Group join with other members of our Social Support Group for a meal and catch up!

But this month brought something extra special…

One of our regular attendees stepped onto the bus and was absolutely astounded to discover that a long-time friend, someone she hadn’t seen in over 20 years - had just joined the group. The reconnection brought tears to the eyes of those who witnessed it.

The ladies spent the afternoon chatting, reminiscing, and catching up on two decades of life. They truly couldn’t believe they had found each other again after all this time.

Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do.

At Pinnacle, we promote engagement, belonging, and meaningful reconnection, and we are so proud to support our community in creating moments that matter. 💛
