🌟 Why Girlguiding? For girls… and for grown-ups. 🌟

Girls join for fun, friends, badges, camping, crafts… and yes, confidence (shocking, we know).

But let’s be honest—the grown-ups get a lot out of it too. Sometimes way more.

There’s laughter. Glitter. Marshmallows (official data remains top secret 👀).

Epic adventures, proud “heck yeah” moments, and the occasional “who ate the last marshmallow?” mystery.

Guiding gives girls a chance to jump higher, speak louder, dream bigger… and occasionally set a tiny fire (it’s fine, we have fire blankets).

The grown-ups? They get front-row seats to the magic.
They find friends, learn new skills, laugh until their cheeks hurt, and make memories that are just as magical.
And somewhere along the way, they realise: they didn’t just help. They belonged.

Guiding changes girls. It changes adults. It changes communities.
And yes… it may involve more fun than you’d think. 💙

Think you can handle the marshmallows and magic? Someone out there is waiting for a space… and you might be the reason she gets one.

For a century, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world have paused on this day to reflect, connect and celebrate our global sisterhood. This year, it feels even more powerful.

Millions of girls and women across the globe are celebrating alongside us. From local Unit halls across NSW, ACT & NT to communities on every continent, we are united by friendship, courage, service and the belief that girls can change the world. 🌏
Thinking Day is about:
💫 Friendships that last a lifetime
🔥 Confidence built in each and every girl
🌱 Small acts of service that create big change
🤝 Belonging to something bigger than yourself

For 100 years, World Thinking Day has reminded us that when girls come together, incredible things happen. Here’s to the next century of brave ideas, strong communities and girls shaping their own futures.
