A little more magic left the world today. 💚🦋

Today, Girl Scouts everywhere are saying goodbye to, Dolly Parton. Her music journey is inspiring, but her lifelong commitment to lifting others up, giving back, supporting her community and helping people dream bigger is what makes her legacy truly extraordinary.

In 2007, Dolly became a Girl Scout Lifetime Member, receiving her very own sash and badges. The Coat of Many Colors Patch was also developed by Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians, and thousands of girls around the world have participated and earned it.

May we all live true to our Girl Guide Promise in the way Dolly did—dreaming bigger, loving bigger and giving bigger. Once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout. 💚🦋

🌟 Why Girlguiding? For girls… and for grown-ups. 🌟

Girls join for fun, friends, badges, camping, crafts… and yes, confidence (shocking, we know).

But let’s be honest—the grown-ups get a lot out of it too. Sometimes way more.

There’s laughter. Glitter. Marshmallows (official data remains top secret 👀).

Epic adventures, proud “heck yeah” moments, and the occasional “who ate the last marshmallow?” mystery.

Guiding gives girls a chance to jump higher, speak louder, dream bigger… and occasionally set a tiny fire (it’s fine, we have fire blankets).

The grown-ups? They get front-row seats to the magic.
They find friends, learn new skills, laugh until their cheeks hurt, and make memories that are just as magical.
And somewhere along the way, they realise: they didn’t just help. They belonged.

Guiding changes girls. It changes adults. It changes communities.
And yes… it may involve more fun than you’d think. 💙
