Hugh, may your spirit soar between the clouds.

Incredible gesture from the team at Paul Bennet Airshows.

Aviation is in good hands.

Blue skies and tailwinds, our friend.

Last Wednesday, Paul took the Wirraway down to Shellharbour Airport with Make-A-Wish Australia to meet a very special young man, Hugh.

The plan was for Hugh to fly with Paul in the Wirraway. Hugh wasn’t well enough to fly on the day, so we brought the aircraft to him, and he spent time up close with it alongside his family and friends.

We were deeply saddened to hear that Hugh passed away this week.

It was a privilege to share that day with him. Our thoughts are with Hugh’s family and everyone who loved him.

Blue skies, Hugh.

What an incredible three days!

Three big days filled with flying, laughter, unforgettable memories and, most importantly, plenty of smiles! ✈️☀️

A massive THANK YOU to our generous sponsors, supporters and donors who helped make this weekend possible. Your generosity means more than you know.

To our volunteer pilots – you are the heart of this event. Thank you for donating your aircraft, fuel, time and expertise to give these families an experience they’ll never forget.

To our wonderful volunteers, thank you for the countless hours spent planning, preparing, cooking, cleaning and making everything run smoothly!

A special thank you to:
🚒 Thanowring RFS for bringing along the fire truck and joining in the fun.

🎨 Canola Kids Art for keeping the creativity flowing with some fantastic activities.

🏃 Sam Jordan from KidzHit – an enormous thank you for keeping the kids entertained, active and thoroughly exhausted! Your energy and enthusiasm throughout the weekend were outstanding!

And finally, to our Country Hope families – thank you for spending the weekend with us. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter and watching the excitement around the airfield is exactly why we do this.

✈️ Country Hope all set 💙

Country Hope Weekend 2026 is almost here, and before the weekend begins, we want to take a moment to say an enormous THANK YOU to the businesses, organisations and individuals who have generously supported this very special weekend.

Whether you have donated financially, provided goods or services, given your time, supplied fuel, helped with catering, offered facilities, or simply asked “What can we do to help?” — this weekend would not be possible without you.

Every contribution, big or small, has helped Temora Flyers Inc put together a weekend where Country Hope families can come to Temora, spend time together, experience aviation, make memories and, most importantly, just have some fun. 💙

We have been absolutely blown away by the generosity of our local community and the wider aviation community.

To our sponsors and donors — thank you for believing in what we are doing and helping us make it happen.

Now the countdown is well and truly on…
