199 blankets were taken out to the village and distributed by one of the staff from Ratanak's office. It was impossible to have donor labels on these as we were not there, and the volume makes it impossible to do so. Thank you for your support. x Jan

After a busy couple of weeks, I can now say that we are winding up our project for this year. I would like to thank Talia Gruschka for an additional two wells in memory of her dad John , bringing our wells donated this year to eight.

Jim and Rachel Sanderson have covered the cost of a latrine, bringing our total there to six. Thank you so much.

Our family donations have covered the remaining English Classes so they will continue to August 2026.

All 199 blankets have been covered.

We have forwarded the money collected to our contact in Cambodia and have already received photos showing our work in progress. I will post them as they come in, along with photos of our English classes. A big thank you to all who have been involved this year, and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. x Jan

Our after school English classes have kicked off and the school has sent me photos of the children engaged in their first lesson. A contribution today from Rosemary Donovan has brought our goal to just $460.

$1 will pay for a student to attend classes after school for a week. Any contribution would be great.

You will note the students are not in uniform as they have been home and changed. The teachers have to return to the school for these lessons also. There is no lack of enthusiasm in this classroom.

Thank you Stuart Fitzpatrick for your continued support. This leaves us with just $400 to cover these lessons for eight months. Our 199 blankets, 6 wells and 5 latrines are all covered. Thank you x Jan

Wednesday 3rd December and I am delighted to report that we have 6 wells covered. These include an additional well from Rhonda and Pieter Ploeger (Xmas present for all their nieces and nephews) and two from Don and Ceal Holbert. I note Don has asked that we simply put "Love Works" on his two well heads. A song Owen loves from Graeme Connors, and very appropriate here. These three wells are in addition to one from Mark Martell, one from Julie Reynolds as a thank you to the people of Romdoul for their prayers for Kirby, and another well from Rhonda and Pieter. I have contacted Ratanak and plans are being made for their drilling team to commence the installation of these 6 wells. So thrilled to have these on the way. x Jan

It's hard to believe it is winter in Cambodia and that the village chief has requested a blanket for each family. Knowing the whole family will sleep under this blanket, and that we have 199 families in the village, makes AUD $10 each a small price to pay. We have covered 114 blankets so are looking for 85 people prepared to put in $10 each to fill this order. We are hoping to wrap this up by the end of next week so the blankets can be purchased over there and taken out to the village. x Jan

A huge thank you to Julie Reynolds, Nicole Nugent, Paul Carpenter, Bob Holbert, Rob Jackson, Belinda Clair, Kristy Keeley, Jodie Bennett, Bianca Blatchford and Kym Slade who have brought our total up to 194 blankets covered, with just five to cover. Things will be more comfortable for our 199 families very soon x Jan

Wednesday and I am pleased to say we have all our blankets covered. Thank you Xavier Vaughan, you are amazing x Jan

Friday afternoon and a big thank you to Henny Russell who is covering a latrine and three blankets. I understand Rhonda and Pieter Ploeger are getting an early Xmas present. Thank you so much. x
This brings our tally to:
3 push pull pump wells (2 more needed)
2 latrines ( 3 more needed)
111 blankets ( 88 more needed)
18 students covered for the English course ( still 72 to cover)

This is an amazing result in just over a week. Thank you x Jan
