How do we raise funds for the Club’s service projects? A Bunnings sausage sizzle and cake stall is one way. It’s also an opportunity to talk about Zonta to anyone interested…and get to know fellow club members better.

Also on sale were gorgeous shopping bag made by a Club member. These bags are available for purchase at all Club events.

Our recent event at Bunnings Bennetts Green ticked all the boxes.

Our guest speaker from Hunter Connections enthused attendees with her talk about how circles of support work, for both/all involved. The Hunter Circles approach starts with listening to an individual with a disability to find out their interests, talents, gifts and then looks for volunteer/s who are good matches. Shared interest examples include ParkRun, gardening, riding on trains, having coffee together in the sunshine. All volunteers receive training and support. https://www.huntercircles.org/

Zonta Club of Hunter-Newcastle normally meets on 3rd Wednesday each month in Charlestown for an early dinner meeting. If you are interested in finding out more about Zonta contact [email protected]

Screening is FREE for women 40+. 50 – 74 is the primary target age group and these are the women who receive invitations every two years.

It’s Women’s Health Week. No matter how busy life gets, our health is always a priority.

A breast screen can find cancers early, before they can be seen or felt and when treatment is most successful. It only takes 20 minutes and could save a life.
