TAYLORS LAKES COMMUNITY GARDEN OPEN DAY
A project of the Lions Club of Taylors Lakes

Following the recent official opening of the Taylors Lakes Community Garden, the Garden swings into action with an open day for local residents on Sunday May 4, from 10am to 12pm.

Situated at 6 Remus Way, next door to the Remus Way Children’s Centre, the Taylors Lakes Community Garden is a “true” community asset. It is a new public facility providing a place for gardening, gathering, learning and well-being. It will not be operated with an exclusive “rent-a-bed” arrangement. Instead, we take an inclusive, shared approach.

The Garden is a focal point for our local community, demonstrating sustainable and environmentally friendly gardening practices and providing a place of gathering, a venue for groups with common interests and an opportunity for people to build and repair their well-being.

Visitors on the morning will be treated to a free sausage sizzle and will be able to assist with planting some of our new beds, by planting a suitable winter veggie seedling.

It’s your chance to meet the makers – the wonderful volunteers of the Lions Club of Taylors Lakes – and find out more about the ways you can be involved.
