Tatyoon Football and Netball Club is a community sporting club based in Western Victoria and aligned with the Mininera and District Football League, and the Mininera and District Netball Association. Boy are we proud of our netballers tonight!!!! We have three League Best and Fairest winners: Alice Astbury, Ella Wood and Alyssa Townsend - and Kayla van Straaten was Runner-Up in the 15& Unders.

This is the 2nd B Grade win for Ella, taking it out last year as well, and Alyssa won the 15&Under League Best and Fairest in 2024!

We had over 35 of our players score votes during the season, with some of our juniors gaining votes in their senior games too!

A huge congratulations to all our netballers on your incredible season. Your hard work and commitment shines thru!

We have just witnessed an incredible weekend of wins from our amazing club, with all 6 Tatyoon teams who played, making us proud!

The Under 13 and Reserve football teams will play this weekend in a 💛🤎HOME💛🤎 prelim, details above. The four netball teams are straight thru to the grand final in Lake Bolac on the following Saturday (12th Sept)!!

It’s time for our next group of netballers to start their finals campaign! And what an incredible group of women and girls they are. This image above perfectly encapsulates the bonds and strong sense of community that exists amongst them, regardless of age group!!

They play at Dunkeld, starting with the 15&Unders at 10am, followed by the 17&Unders at 11:15am. B Grade and A Grade play in the afternoon at 1:45 pm and 3pm respectively.

There will be some incredible netball to watch so make sure you get along to cheer them thru!!

**** Exciting Announcement: 2027 Senior Coach****
Introducing Jack Ganley
Jack played Juniors at Tatyoon back in 2008 with a taste of Reserves and Seniors in 2009 before playing the majority of his football at Ararat in the Wimmera. He has since had stints in quality competitions such as Bellarine, Ballarat, Northern Territory and currently at Port Douglas in the AFL Cairns Competition.

Jack lives and breaths football and with over 250 games of Senior Football and 400+ goals under his belt. He brings a wealth of experience and a passion to take the whole playing group on a journey to success.

We have a massive weekend of finals ahead of us!

Saturday, at Dunkeld, is all about the netballers, with four teams playing. Winners from these matches will go straight thru to the Grand Final!!!

Sunday we are at Alexandra Oval in Ararat, where our Under 13 and Reserves teams will be playing for a chance to move thru to the Preliminary Final the following weekend.

A reminder that Taty is hosting the Prelim final. Rosters will be out early next week, so expect to see your name popping up - we will need all hands on deck to ensure the day runs smoothly!

Results from this weekend’s finals.

It was an incredibly gutsy game from our 13& Under girls, but unfortunately they just couldn’t get over Woorndoo Mortlake, going down by 3 goals. Their 2026 season is over, but we can’t wait to see what they bring to the table next year!

The Under 13 boys had a great win, and will play this Sunday in Ararat along with the Reserves, who get a second chance, despite going down in a tough match yesterday.

We always knew our 13&U boys would have a ripper of a year when Mat Smith volunteered to coach them! With his wealth of football experience and strong leadership they came out of the gates with a vengeance, winning their first 10 games, very convincingly!

Tomorrow they play Wickliffe Lake Bolac, down at Macarthur. Last time the two teams met, Taty won 47:22.

Let’s get as many of us down there as we can, and cheer the boys over the line.
