Days for Girls Goulburn Valley VIC Australia Team

When our neighbouring communities were impacted by the fires near Longwood, our Days for Girls Goulburn Valley team knew we needed to step in and help.

Julie, Noela and Mary came together to pack 50 menstrual Kits, each including the Days for Girls washable pad system, along with disposable pads and tampons, to support people during a very difficult time.

The Kits were delivered to the Greater Shepparton City Council collection point, where Mayor Shane Sali and Tatura Councillor Rod Schubert were hard at work sorting donations. All items will now be delivered to those who need them most.

Our small but mighty team meets twice a month in Tatura and four times a year at the Shepparton Sewing Centre. We’re proud to stand alongside our community and offer dignity, care and practical support when it matters most.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the **UN’s theme: For ALL women and girls – Rights. Equality. Empowerment. ** At Days for Girls Australia, we know that menstrual dignity is key to unlocking these rights.

That’s why DfG's **IWD theme is Menstrual Dignity Unlocked: Supporting Women, Changing Lives. ** Because when women and girls can manage their periods with dignity, they can stay in school, earn an income, and participate fully in society. Yet, period poverty continues to hold too many back.

This International Women’s Day, join us in unlocking menstrual dignity for ALL women and girls. Whether by sewing, fundraising, advocating, or donating, every action supports women and changes lives.

Because when we unlock menstrual dignity, we unlock potential.
