Calling all Taree Aboriginal Women!!

The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) have funding to deliver a Women's camp at Saltwater this financial year.

The Women's Camp will be Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st May 2026 of which the camping event will be limited to 50 participants. All attendees must Register and be over 18 years of age.

Obviously, NO MEN allowed at the camp!!! This includes helping to set up and visiting during the camp. This is also a drug and alcohol-free camp.

If you are interested, Registration forms have been printed and a located at the PTLALC Office. Given the office is only open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, The PTLALC Chairperson, Brittany Cochrane also has forms available.

As mentioned at todays meeting AANSW is checking the condition of housing in Discrete Aboriginal Communities across NSW and will be at Purfleet Taree LALC this Tuesday the 14th to put on a lunch time BBQ.

Having a right to claim land that is rightfully yours should be standard - not something you need to consistently beg for.

Aboriginal People across NSW have spent decades advocating for rights to their land.

Sign the petition to stop the Labor Minns Governemnt claiming our land.
