National Reconciliation Week Key Ring Design Competition

Reconciliation Taree invites preschool and primary school students to participate in a Keyring Design Competition for National Reconciliation Week, held from 27 May to 3 June.

This year’s theme is β€œAll In for Reconciliation.”

Two templates have been provided. Children are asked to colour within the red lines. Please ensure students tick the template they are submitting. A selection of chosen designs will be turned into keyrings at a special Reconciliation Week event at Taree Universities Campus on 28 May and gifted to attendees on the day.

Ten students whose designs are selected will receive a keyring featuring their own artwork, along with a copy of Uncle Mick Saunders’ book, Balinga and the Djukal Djariibyn: How Djarii Got Its Name.

Please scan and return completed designs by Tuesday 26 May to: [email protected]

Join us for an informative and practical session on Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), designed specifically for teachers and school staff.

This session will unpack:
β€’ The difference between language delay, difficulty and disorder
β€’ How to recognise children who may need support
β€’ Where to refer and how to respond
β€’ Practical strategies schools can use to better support students with language needs

With many children experiencing language challenges that can impact learning, behaviour and wellbeing, building shared understanding across the school community is a powerful step toward better outcomes.
