News from the Taree Tip Riders, the PBM Hardrock 6 hour MTB race ENTRIES ARE OPEN that’s right they are OPEN. Click on the following link and get your entry in.

THIS IS AN AUSCYCLE EVENT. YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY PROOF OF YOUR RACE OFF-ROAD MEMBERSHIP OR DAY LICENSE PRIOR TO RECEIVING YOUR RACE PLATE.
Day licenses may be purchased from the Auscycle website (https://auscycling.org.au/become-a-member/event-licences).

That’s right your favourite 6 hour MTB race is back. Add the 4th of October 2026 to your diary as this is one race you will not want to miss. We have a category for everyone catering for males & females, solo, teams, juniors and Ebikes, this year we even have a 60 plus category.
There is even free camping with water & Dunnies on the Saturday night.
So, if you want the sweetest flowing single track, a swag bag on entry including free range eggs plus other goodies, great prizes, an awesome atmosphere, Tee Shirts that’s right the famous PBM Tee Shirts are back for the podium(new logo), so organise your mates SAVE THE DATE and pass the word around.

The Track:

PBM Hardrock 6-hour UPDATE, course release.

The Course Designers have done it again and pieced together a cracking course! This year we'll have some old favorites and some new sections as well!

We have 6km of flow with only 115 meters of climbing, the trail fairies are in the process of trimming the new loop, it’s going to be FAST.
The loop includes for the first time ever the superfast Granny along with some of your old favorites Split Enz, Gotta, W***y Wally, with the Box making a comeback. The loop has more flow than the Manning River.

Just follow the PBM arrows (below) starting at the Event Center, head into Yowie and take the first right and hang on.

Kiwarrak Mountain Bike Park Trail Crew Report: Six sodden trail fairies have installed signage for October’s PBM Six Hour race loop and performed drainage works on same.

Kiwarrak Mountain Bike Park Trail Crew Report: Seven trail fairies finished the downslope below the giant seesaw, tidied 2 Dogs, replaced fallen loop signage, cleared drains on Divine, repaired bridges on Kokoda and Sleeping Giants and groomed Dry As.

Kiwarrak Mountain Bike Park Trail Crew Report: Seven fairies repaired erosion damage, constructed erosion control measures and groomed eastern Greenbottle. Motorbikes had ridden through the tape preventing access to the track below the giant seesaw. We attempted to repair the damage but the track was still too damp.
