Just a heads up to anybody using AI for Indigenous artworks and jerseys.
I am making it crystal clear right now that I don’t support the use of AI with Indigenous art, I think it’s soulless and removes all connection between the story, the people and the artform.
It has come to my attention people have tried to use ai on my shirt mock ups to submit them to manufacturers for the KO teams.
As a lot of people are aware I will name and shame anyone who tries to do so as I have in the past.
I have had manufacturers reach out in the past and even today asking if I’ve given permission for team designs, which is reassuring for us artists and it’s something I deeply appreciate as an artist as well.
If you need a design for your team, reach out to a manufacturer or artist! And pay the fu***ng artist!
AI got everyone thinking they don’t need anyone and that AI prompts make them an artist… sorry but it doesn’t and it looks trash.
