🔎🕵️ What an unforgettable morning at our Armchair Detective Murder Mystery event!

Residents stepped into a world of suspense, secrets, and clever clues as they worked together to solve a puzzling “whodunit.” The room was filled with laughter, curiosity, and plenty of discussion as everyone examined evidence, shared theories, and uncovered hidden motives along the way.

Our residents proved they have sharp minds and fantastic teamwork skills — no mystery was too tricky for this group! 👏

Across the Bushland Health Group family, our homes recently celebrated World Hand Hygiene Day on 5 May with a range of fun and interactive activities focused on infection prevention, resident safety and teamwork.

These photos capture the celebration at Karingal Gardens, where staff and residents came together to take part in activities designed to promote the importance of good hand hygiene practices in a positive and engaging way. Activities included a themed photo booth, resident colouring sessions, UV glow hand hygiene demonstrations to highlight missed areas during hand washing, and educational opportunities reinforcing best practice standards in aged care.

RN Chris also led an informative hand hygiene demonstration for staff, helping reinforce correct sanitising techniques and the important role infection prevention plays in keeping our residents, visitors and teams safe every day. 🧼👏📸

Residents at Banyula were delighted to welcome back Roscoe, a trained pet therapy Cobberdog, for a very special visit this week. 🐾
There was plenty of excitement throughout the home as residents spent time patting, cuddling, and chatting with Roscoe, whose calm and gentle nature brought comfort and happiness to everyone he met. Many residents shared stories about their own pets and enjoyed the companionship and connection that animal therapy can provide.
Roscoe appeared to remember his way around Banyula from previous visits, happily making his rounds and soaking up all the love and attention from residents along the way.
Moments like these bring so much joy, laughter, and meaningful engagement to our residents, and we look forward to welcoming Roscoe back again soon. ❤️

Hats off to a fun-filled day at Karingal Gardens! 🎩🐰

Our residents hopped into the Easter spirit with a creative hat-making activity, and what a fabulous display it was! From bright colours to playful designs, each hat was as unique as the person who made it. 🌸✨

There were plenty of laughs, lots of creativity, and a whole lot of Easter cheer shared along the way. Safe to say, the smiles were just as bright as the decorations! 😄🐣

What an egg-cellent day for everyone involved! 💛

What a joyful day at Alkira Lodge, Banyula Lodge and Karingal Gardens! Our residents and staff came together to celebrate cultures from all over the world with music, dance, and stories.
From South Indian drummers and Zimbabwean performances, to Greek, Filipino, German, North Indian, and Kiribati dances—our day was full of colour, energy, and smiles. 🎶💃🕺

Dressed in matching coats, adorned with elegant accessories, and each holding a beautiful flower, every resident had their moment to shine in front of the camera. While the setting was the same, each photo captured something truly unique — personality, warmth, and a lifetime of stories behind every smile.
It wasn’t just about taking photos… it was about feeling confident, celebrated, and seen ❤️

Today our residents put their scrapbooking skills to the test during a fun arts and crafts session! 🎨✂️

Using colourful papers, stickers, and plenty of creativity, everyone designed their own personalised welcome signs to display on their bedroom doors. Each sign was unique and reflected the personality and style of its creator.

It was a wonderful way to spend the day—sharing stories, getting creative, and adding a special personal touch to their rooms. Well done to everyone who joined in! 🌟
