What an absolutely awesome 3-day Boyne Tannum HookUp! 🎣
With well and truly over 3000 tickets sold, it’s been one of our biggest events yet. We’ll share the full stats once the team finally catches up on some well earned sleep over the next few days. But thank you from our team to all the people who showed up, entered, weighed a fish in and just had fun… Thank you!

Massive appreciation to the Gladstone Sports Fishing Club for the huge effort on the live fish weigh-ins and for keeping the committee fed all weekend. You guys are legends, and we genuinely enjoyed having you alongside us.
Shoutout as well to the Yaralla Fishing Club for running the dead weigh-ins. We shared plenty of laughs, and you went above and beyond helping collect and remove cans, thank you team 🙏
Big thanks to Bits Saints for absolutely saving the day with merch. With a few technical hiccups along the way, you stepped up all weekend to make sure everyone could still get their gear. Such an awesome local club.
Our food vendors had an incredible weekend, with many saying it was their biggest HookUp yet and judging by the crowds, you all definitely enjoyed it!
Ron and the Lions Club crew once again delivered the coldest beers with a smile… even if you ran out FOUR times on Sunday night! That just shows how massive the turnout was 🍻
A huge congratulations to our major prize winners, including Emma Perrin from Gladstone who took home the 5.90m Titan on Sunday. I think the husband will be given a few foot rubs out for months to come… amazing stuff!
And finally, a massive thank you to our incredible committee Georgia (VP) James (treasurer) Chez (secretary) & Luke ( park coordinator) this crew wore a few hats over the weekend and had probably about 5 hours sleep all week. These guys were up from 5am most days, finishing 10–11pm each night, midnight for most of us last night, and straight back into pack-down today. The effort, dedication, and positivity even in the face of a few negatives did not go unnoticed. The kind words from the community meant a lot. Also Dave Lindley although he isn’t on the committee Dave is the silent achiever who with out him most likely the event wouldn’t have run to well. He comes and volunteers and just gets to business and asks for little help and just gets it done especially with old equipment that needs replacing (ps if anyone wants to help there 😬)! Massive shout out to Big Wayne, Shaun, Kelly (and the kids), Hayley, and chase we couldn’t of survived with out your help and laughter 🙏
