🌿 Loving our public spaces 🌿

The Fresh Footprints team has spent the past two days helping improve accessibility and safety at the Tamworth Botanic Gardens.

The crew removed damaged pavers and replaced them with new ones, making the footpaths safer and more accessible for everyone enjoying the gardens' beautiful surrounds and peaceful environment.

Projects like this are a great way for the team to build practical skills while giving back to the community and taking pride in caring for the places we all share.

⚡ New skills on the job! ⚡

In the last month the Fresh Footprints crew have been able to gain hands-on experience working alongside a qualified electrician, completing the labouring required to lay new underground electrical cabling and prepare connections for their worksite.

From trenching and preparing cable runs to learning about the planning, precision and safety involved in bringing power to buildings, the boys have gained valuable insight into a completely different trade. It's been a great opportunity to see how different industries work together on a job site and to build practical skills that will support future employment pathways.

Every new experience is another step towards building confidence, capability and a stronger future. 💪🔧

🔥 Fresh look. Same deadly team. 🔥

The Fresh Footprints crew were out and about across Tamworth last week, looking fresh in their brand new winter hoodies and proudly taking part in NAIDOC Week celebrations.

It was a great week of connecting with community, celebrating 50 Years of Deadly, Aboriginal culture, and standing together to recognise the strength, pride and resilience of our mob.

🔨✨ There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing a job through to the finish line.

While every job is important, it's especially rewarding to step back and see the results of hard work, and what can be achieved with skilled hands, and a great team around you.

This week, the Fresh Footprints team put the final touches on a couple of projects that have come up beautifully - one private and another a community facility. Alongside those larger jobs, we've also been busy with grounds maintenance and graffiti removal across the community.

A big shout out to our crew for another week of making local spaces cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone. 👏🌱

🌟 What a difference! 🌟

The Fresh Footprints team has done an incredible job transforming the sandpit at one of our local childcare centres.

By extending the playspace right back into the fence corners, they've created so much more room for play and imagination. Add in the brand-new decking and the concreted-in river stones, and it's shaping up to be a fantastic space for little adventurers to explore.

While the rain over the past few weeks has caused a few delays, this week has marked the home stretch. It won't be long before the trucks, diggers and colourful sand buckets return to their rightful place, and parents are again tipping the sand out of socks and pockets each afternoon!

We know the kids are going to be absolutely ecstatic when they get to play in their upgraded sandpit for the first time🚜🪣✨

A big week of hands-on work for the Fresh Footprints team 👏

We’ve been engaged by a local early childhood provider to give their sandpit area a complete makeover - and it’s been fantastic to get stuck into a project that will be enjoyed by little ones every single week!

Over the past week, the team has been hard at work digging out a brand new sandpit and welding up a framework for a new decking area. It’s a proper transformation in progress, with the space already starting to take shape.

Once complete, this upgrade will make a real difference to the amenities available for children and their carers - creating a safer, more engaging, and more usable outdoor play space.

We’re really excited about how this one is coming together. Keep an eye out for the finished results in the coming week or so… it’s going to be a good one! 👀

Some serious before-and-after satisfaction from last week 👏

The Fresh Footprints team were engaged by Tamworth Regional Council to give the laneways around Oxleyvale a much-needed tidy up - and the transformation speaks for itself.

With more rain on the horizon, it was the perfect window to get in, get the work done, and make sure these spaces are cleared and ready for the autumn and winter months ahead.

Proud of the effort, focus, and teamwork shown on the job - real outcomes you can see straight away.

✨️ This week, Fresh Footprints has been back out in our local neighbourhoods, rolling up sleeves and getting to work removing graffiti and helping make our public spaces cleaner, brighter and safer for everyone. 🍃

Look at those before and after shots! There’s something powerful about taking pride in the places we all share. Every space restored and every small act of care helps create a stronger sense of community and belonging.

Maarubaa!

The Fresh Footprints team were proud to join the TACCO Close the Gap Day at the Youthie on Thursday - a fantastic opportunity to connect with community, listen, and learn.

The day allowed organisations to gather feedback and ideas directly from local people, making sure that decision-making remains in the hands of local, grassroots Aboriginal people, and making sure they have a say in matters that affect them, their lives and families.

Thank you to everyone who came along, shared their thoughts, and helped make the day such a meaningful one.
