Hi Everyone, hope you’re having a great weekend.
Online entry form is open for TDRA's last event of 2026 - 19 & 20 September!

To enter, please complete ALL of these steps:
1. Ensure you read the ANDRA Vehicle and Driver/Rider Safety Requirementshttps://www.andra.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/ANDRA-Off-Street-Meet-Vehicle-Driver-Rider-Requirements_1320ft_v8.pdf
2. Complete the entry form TDRA September Entry Form - this link will take you to a separate Google form. https://forms.gle/o9UC5sW3oeiUJKA38
Ensure you have filled in the form correctly, answering each question. If you have completed and submitted the form correctly a message will appear: “Thank you for completing the form, please pay entry fee to…..” with TDRA bank details.
DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE ABOVE MESSAGE, IF YOU DON’T COMPLETE THE ENTIRE FORM, WE HAVE NO DETAILS TO CONTACT YOU
3. Make your payment for the event - deposit funds to: BSB # 032-621 Account # 239 141 and include your name to identify your payment
Car: Day Licence $250; ANDRA Licence Holder: $220. 2 Crew included, if more than 2 crew, additional $10 each
Bike: Day Licence $230; ANDRA Licence Holder: $200. Crew additional $10 each
Dual Drivers: If you wish to have two competitors use the one vehicle, this can occur on Saturday only. On Sunday, you must nominate one competitor. Additional competitor is $80 for the Saturday and does not include crew, Crew for 2nd driver are an additional $10 each.
THE ADDITIONAL DRIVER MUST COMPLETE THEIR OWN ENTRY FORM AND PLEASE INCLUDE "SECOND DRIVER" WITH THE LAST NAME
4. Complete the self-scrutineering form, print and bring with you to Gunnedah. You need to put Y or N/A on the forms – not a tick/cross. Here’s how to complete the forms ESP Form Completion Guide
5. We will then match your entry form with your payment and email you an acknowledgement, your crew tickets and further event information. As this is a manual process completed by our volunteers, the email will not be immediate.
6. Go to Gunnedah! Bring your completed scrutineering form and, if applicable, your crew tickets with you.

As a reminder:
o ALL entries to be submitted online before the event
o This is a self-scrutineering event for all entrants. The link to the self-scrutineering form is in the entry form

o Payment for entry by direct bank deposit ONLY (no payments taken at event) Please include your name as the reference. Payment must be received before 10pm Wednesday 16 September 2026
o ENTRIES CLOSE 10pm Wednesday 16 September 2026
o We cannot accept entries on the day. If you want to enter but you’re not sure if your car will be finished etc, enter and pay and if you cannot attend, we will give you a full refund.

are hosting a “Racecars in Gunnedah” event at The Railway Hotel on Saturday 12th from 5pm to 8pm.

Gunnedah Motoring Enthusiasts Car Club is excitied to be hosting Round 8 of the NSW Hillclimb Championship at Mount Porcupine, Apex Drive, Gunnedah. 12th and 13th September.

Results from our July Event 🙂

The mornings were a very frosty start, especially for our hard working volunteers, but the days became great racing weather once the ice melted. There were up to 8 passes for racers on Saturday and three more qualifiers on Sunday before the elimination rounds – lots of track time.

It was great to see some first time racers have a go at no-prep racing and by Sunday afternoon there was close racing and PBs being achieved.

Congratulations to all the finalists and here’s the results.

🏁Motorbikes:
Mark Whan from Tamworth cut the better light on the 450 KTM and took the win over Mark Hodges riding the Honda CRF 450 from Dubbo.
🏁Group D:
You don’t get a much closer final than this with just 0.001 at the finish line separating winner Nate Smith in his 2011 VE Commodore from Gymea (Sydney) and Blake Nichols from Cessnock in his BA Falcon.
🏁Group C:
Simon Bestmann from Singleton Heights was too quick leaving the start in the ’73 Mitsubishi Galant, getting a redlight, which was fortunate for David McNamara from Bolwarra in his ’66 Valiant, who broke out by just 0.009 seconds.
🏁Group B:
There was just 0.10 difference in their nominated dial-ins between local racers Geoff Alston from Manilla and Adam Wilson from Tamworth. Wilson got the better start in his Falcon Ute but Alston ran closer to his dial-in his Camaro Coupe to take the win.
🏁Group A:
The ’48 Ford Sedan of Sean Macpherson from Blackalls Park had to chase down Cessnock’s Bill Wallace in his 1989 Commodore and Macpherson was juuust too keen on the lights with a -0.002 redlight, which was lucky for Wallace who broke out racing Macpherson to the finish line.

The following trophies are based on any race run during the eliminations, when the pressure is on:
🏁Best Reaction: Brian Thomas from Moore Creek (Tamworth) with a 0.004 second reaction time
🏁Closest-To-Dial-in: Simon Bestmann from Singleton Heights ran a 8.308 on his 8.29 dial-in with ’73 Mitsubishi Galant.

Just wanted to do a quick shout out to our members and volunteers for all their hard work to put on a fantastic weekend of racing 😀
And also to the racers, crew and families who support our events with such enthusiasm for the sport.
Hope you all arrived home safely and results will be up later in the week.

After a bit of a slow start, we have a good entry list for our event this weekend – thanks everyone for your support 🙂

Entries have closed and if you have paid, your confirmation email has been sent out with the event information.
If you cannot see the email in your inbox, check your 'junk' email folder for an email called “Gunnedah Drag Racing in July 2026 - Thanks for your Entry…….”.

We have a few who have entered but not yet paid, please complete payment ASAP or let us know if you can no longer race this weekend.

And don’t forget to bring your crew tickets and completed scrutineering form with you.

Rug up, the mornings will be frosty and the days on the cool side.
