This week across Australia we acknowledge National Volunteers week and it would be remiss of us not to share, what we think is the best bunch of servants this side of Heaven.!
The Community kitchen is a much larger job than what most would imagine, for example, yesterday, a typical day in the kitchen, over 100 meals, desserts, deliveries to the sick, community meals prepared for allied health and community service clients, plus the added benefits of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and snacks (when we can source them) doesn’t happen in an hour or in fact a day but a continuous cycle of endeavouring to be the best that we possibly can be for a community we deeply love and care for.
This group of volunteers, led by the Coordinator of all the cogs on this wheel, Mathew Hatch who says this service is a constant as we continually build to produce the best effort we possibly can. He continues…it is a busy schedule which is never possible without shifts of volunteers but it is also a great joy and an absolute privilege.
The kitchen celebrates 20 years this year and over the coming weeks will endeavour through these pages to introduce you to these extraordinary people. Although very few of them enjoy acknowledgment…The Board and Members of Cornerstone Community Church gratefully acknowledge the significant, consistent and sincere service of Matthew Hatch (9years)
Jennifer Hatch (13 years) Leticha Harrison (5years)
Scott Peters, Sue Hanson, Natasha Brandy, Daphne Corbett, Izzy Harrison, Wendy Flett, Bella, Lal la , Maranantha, Pam Bradley and invited guests speakers…who are the current spine of the kitchen.
May God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you all. On behalf of Cornerstone Community Church Board and members, fellow servants of Jesus Christ we say..
Thank you ❤️
