Turns out Year 10 students don’t just build models… 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬.

At 𝐎𝐱𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 students tackled team challenges focused on communication, courage, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving — using hands-on builds to explore the skills employers actually notice.

Some standout moments:
⭐ Teams creating workplace solutions
⭐ Students visually representing character strengths
⭐ Great conversations around teamwork and employability
⭐ Plenty of creativity ...

One of the best parts? Seeing students who may not normally jump into classroom discussions become highly engaged through building, storytelling and shared ideas.

Great day at 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 for a special 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 with our Connecting With Bricks Inc LEGO® Team Challenge Workshops.

Students stepped into real-world workplace scenarios using hands-on LEGO® builds to explore:
✨ teamwork
✨ communication
✨ problem solving
✨ leadership
✨ creativity
✨ employability skills

From designing ideal workplaces and solving customer problems, to planning events and tackling team conflict, the creativity and storytelling coming from these builds was outstanding.

One of the standout moments was seeing students recreate the very workshop they were participating in - complete with teamwork challenges, event setup and collaboration spaces 👏

A huge thank you to Nicole Impey and Tamworth High School for inviting Connecting With Bricks Inc to be part of their Careers Day and for creating opportunities that help students explore future pathways in such a practical and engaging way.

Today we celebrate the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures who help shape the foundations of who we become 💕💕

The ones who encourage big dreams…
who sit beside us while we build creations across the kitchen table…
who step on LEGO® bricks at midnight 😅…
and somehow still cheer us on the next day.

To celebrate 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, we took a trip into a galaxy far, far away… 🚀

The 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was next level — over 8 million LEGO® bricks bringing some of the most iconic scenes to life. From epic lightsaber battles to the Death Star itself… the scale, detail and creativity were something else.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭?
The reminder that these builds all started the same way our LEGO® based workshops do — with a handful of bricks, an idea, and the confidence to create.

🌅 𝐀𝐍𝐙𝐀𝐂 𝐃𝐚𝐲 – 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 🌺

Today we remember those who have fallen, honour those who have served, and give thanks to those who continue to serve.

This morning in Tamworth, we stood together at the Dawn Service — the bugle sounding at 5:45am was a stirring moment for the soul… from silence to reflection, from reflection to gratitude.

To see so many students from schools across our great region marching side by side was something really special — a true show of respect.

It’s moments like this that make us incredibly proud to be Australian 🇦🇺

In true Connecting With Bricks style… even the smallest builds can tell the biggest stories. A simple LEGO tribute — a way for the next generation to connect, learn, and honour the legacy of our heroes.

May we continue to remember, respect, and carry forward the mateship shown by those who came before us. Let’s build that future together.
