Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service - Tamworth Support Group

Around 6:00pm, on Thursday 20 August, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from the Tamworth Regional Referral Hospital to the John Hunter Hospital.

A female in her 50's, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Newcastle.

Around 7pm, on Thursday 23 July, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Walgett Hospital to Tamworth Base Hospital. A young child suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Tamworth.

Around 5:00pm, on Saturday 20 June, a Westpac was tasked by to a motorcycle accident on a property north - east of . A teenage boy was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for multiple injuries before being airlifted to Rural Referral Hospital.
