Picasso died on April 8 1973. We created a cardboard cut out Picasso style. Everyone had fun choosing different shapes to make the face. Wednesday was National Unicorn Day. We decided to celebrate it by playing our version of the Highland Games, as the unicorn is the emblem of Scotland. So much fun. Thursday we began our art for our entry into the Bendemeer Art Show.

Tuesday we made our own game. We made paper rings and tried to put them all on the stand with a pipe cleaner. A few giggles had. It was a bit harder than expected. Wednesday we decided to attempt a mini group book. Titled "When I was younger", everyone wrote their favourite thing to do when they were young, then drew a picture to go with it. Thursday it was a bit of clever crayon art looking up through trees.Amazing results achieved. And topped off the fun with our favourite paper running race.

Yesterday the Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrated it's 93rd birthday so what better way to celebrate it than to draw our version in charcoal and chat about the history of the famous 'coathanger'. I am always in awe of the talent we have in our group. Well done everyone.

Yesterday's art was a bit of fun. Trying a different way to make a painted lily. There are a few different techniques that we will explore this year. They are lovely and bright. It was also great to discuss and watch the safe landing of the astronauts that were in space for 9 months and wonder what it would be like up there. Such a great topic.

Alan drew an alien on the whiteboard for fun. We painted a picture of an owl, did sand art. Amy came up from the library with the bots and everyone made a bridge that the bottom could cross. Jumping frogs, the chicken dance and Steph and Tracey bravely were sitting ducks while we tried to knock their hats off.
