The Liverpool Range District Bush Fire Danger Period has been brought forward to commence on the 1 September 2026.

This aligns with several neighbouring districts that will also commence their Bush Fire Danger Period on 1 September 2026, while all remaining districts will retain the standard commencement date of 1 October 2026.

The earlier commencement of the Bush Fire Danger Period will see fire permit in place, helping to ensure burning activities are conducted safely and appropriately under current and forecasted seasonal conditions.

Residents are reminded that a fire permit will be required from 1st September 2026.

For further information about the Bush Fire Danger Period or the fire permit process and applications, please contact the Liverpool Range District Office on (02) 6746 5800 or by visiting the NSW RFS website.

๐Ÿšจ CALLING ALL FIRST RESPONDERS & EMERGENCY SERVICE ORGANISATIONS ๐Ÿšจ

The Quirindi Silo Art Committee is currently working behind the scenes on a very special Light & Sound Show that will honour the incredible men and women who dedicate their time, skills and compassion to keeping our communities safe.

This upcoming presentation will celebrate our First Responders and emergency service organisations, recognising the vital role they play across the Liverpool Plains and beyond. From volunteers to career personnel, training exercises to community events, this will be a heartfelt tribute to those who answer the call when we need them most.

We have begun contacting a number of organisations; however, we know there are many groups, branches and volunteers throughout our region, and we would hate to miss anyone.

If you are part of a First Responder or emergency service organisation, including (but certainly not limited to) Ambulance, Fire & Rescue, Rural Fire Service, SES, Police, VRA Rescue NSW, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, St John Ambulance, Surf Life Saving, Community First Responders, or other emergency support services, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking:
๐Ÿ“ธ High-resolution digital photographs
๐Ÿš’ Images showcasing your organisation in action (non-graphic)
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Photos of volunteers, personnel, training, equipment and community engagement
โœ… Permission for the Quirindi Silo Art Committee to use the images in the Light & Sound Show and associated promotional material

This project is our way of saying THANK YOU to the remarkable individuals and organisations that serve our communities each and every day.

Please send photographs or enquiries to:
๐Ÿ“ง [email protected]

Together, let's create a tribute worthy of the heroes among us.
