🚧⭕️8️⃣0️⃣ SPEED LIMIT CHANGES //

Council has today been advised by Transport for NSW of upcoming speed zone reductions for Coonabarabran Road and Waverley Road.

The speed limit on Coonabarabran Road will be reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h for the section spanning from the Kamilaroi Highway through to Spring Ridge. Additionally, the speed limit on Waverley Road will also be reduced to 80km/h.

TfNSW have advised that changes have been instructed by the Centre for Road Safety following a strategic review of these roads. The primary objectives of these adjustments are to mitigate crash risks and ensure the speed zones better reflect the current road environment.
