Yesterday the Undera Fire Brigade laid to rest to Stewart Pell, a former Captain and long-time member of the brigade. The respect for this firefighter was evident, in the number of the CFA family present to say goodbye.
Condolences to the family, friends and the Undera Fire Brigade from the members of the Tallygaroopna Rural Fire Brigade.

The World Health Organisation has recognized firefighters as having a elevated cancer risk. This is because long-term exposure to the chemicals released during structure fires, vehicle fires and grass fires have the potential to be harmful. New research has found that these contaminants settle on the skin and can be absorb into the body, increasing the long-term risk of cancer.
Tallygaroopna Brigade would like to thank the Copulos family for the donation of Decontamination wipes to our brigade and to the Shepparton Brigade for organising the distribution.

Due to the on going fuel shortages, C.F.A has supplied Tallygaroopna Rural Fire brigade with a new first response appliance. Training on the new appliance will commence shortly. Lycra outfits will be supplied following completion of training.
